Paws and Claws Animal Rescue has been rescuing animals since February 2015. Many of our rescues come in as strays from poor living conditions from places in the surrounding areas. We take the time to assess each animal both mentally and physically before putting them up for adoption. Once the animal has been rescued, we place them into a foster home that is the best fit for him/her. Without our fo

ster parents, we wouldn't be able to rescue as many animals as we do. We are extremely grateful for all the hard work and dedication our fosters provide for our rescues! All animals are vet checked and are up to date with their shots and a complete exam to make sure they are healthy before being put up for Adoption. This weekend marks our last adoption days for July, with multiple locations open to the public. We will have animals available for adoption in both Regina and Yorkton. Our hours in Yorkton are 11-3 on Saturday, July 26th, and 12-3 on Sunday, July 27th, at 40 Second Avenue North. In Regina, both Pet Smart locations will host us on Saturday, July 26th, from 10-4. Puppies will be at the Aurora location, while cats and kittens will be at the Gordon location. We are currently uncertain about our Regina presence on Sunday and will provide further updates.

Simba: A Sweet and Loving Companion

Simba was recently welcomed into our rescue program, and shortly thereafter, one of his siblings sadly passed away due to parvovirus. This unfortunate incident serves as a poignant reminder of the importance of maintaining current veterinary care and spaying/neutering pets. Although Simba did not display any symptoms of parvovirus, all siblings that came in were treated and quarantined as a precautionary measure. We are thrilled to report that everyone has recovered and is now ready for adoption.

Simba is approximately four months old, and his vaccinations are up-to-date until July 2026. It is believed that he is a mix of Shepherd and Lab. Please be aware that Simba will need to be neutered at six months old.
