A lot of shedding problems actually start at the skin level.

When undercoat, oil, and dead skin start building up together, coats become heavier, harder to dry properly, and more difficult to brush out comfortably.

For dogs going through seasonal coat changes, a proper deshed isn’t just “more brushing.” It’s the combination of:
• deep cleansing
• coat release
• proper drying
• and safely removing loose undercoat without damaging the coat or irritating the skin

Warm towel wraps, quieter moments, patient handling, and adjusting the pace of the appointment can make a huge difference for many dogs, especially seniors, anxious pups, or dogs who simply need a little extra support.

Big dogs deserve thoughtful handling too 🖤

This sweet Saint Bernard spent the day with us for a full groom focused on comfort, coat care, and helping her feel fresh without rushing the process.

Giant breeds can be physically and emotionally tiring to groom, so we always adjust pacing, handling, and drying time to what the dog in front of us needs that day.

She left looking very proud of herself afterward, and honestly, we were pretty proud of her too.

Some dogs fully embrace bath day… and some become tiny wet gremlins for approximately 20 minutes 😅

This little one gave us a very serious mohawk moment during the bath before turning back into an adorable fluffy teddy bear afterward.

Even the sillier moments are part of what makes grooming fun around here. 💜
