So many updates!
Spoiler alert: most of them are not great. 🫠 (but there are some good news pieces in here, too)

Swipe through for all the updates about tariffs (so gross), USA and International orders, the Fall collection, markets, and those big dog harnesses everyone’s been waiting for!

The best news? I’m not going out of business. And truly, that’s been no small feat 😅

We’re not finished with summer, yet! August is one of my favourite months (also my birthday month 💁‍♀️) and I love that it still feels like summer, but with the cooler temps in the morning and evening.

We’ve got one more market coming up in September - the Community Market at RA Steen Community Centre in Wolsely on Sept 13. Our fall collection is in the works, but won’t be ready until mid-late Sept (actual Fall 😘).

Any other August bdays around? 🎈

These photos are the only proof I have that I managed my first outdoor market, ever! Several rookie mistakes were made, including my realization that my trademark green grass backdrop turns into a giant sail in the wind, and that my foam board signs similarly take flight! We improvved that (simply by having no signs and no backdrop, oops) just in time for the rain to pay us a few short but furious downpours! My singular non-rookie move of the evening was my waterproof tablecloths and tarps that I had picked up from the dollar store that we flung on top of the racks. 💪 You also saw, in real time, that all my gear can rock it in in the rain, and that my bangs don’t look quite as cute in the rain (IYKYK).

We had fun, though! We joked about how we were camping as we huddled looking at collars together underneath the tarps. We bonded with our neighbours (looking at you ) and made use of the towels I always keep in my car (dog mom stuff, am I right?). We met so many lovely doggos and lots of lovely humans, too!

Special thanks to for helping me with literally everything and my hubby for reinforcements + moral support + hauling all the soggy stuff in the rain.

I am finally doing my first .wpg popup! We love a dog friendly market, and are often told by shoppers that they’d love to see us at Alleyways. Well, wish granted! August is definitively the best month of the year (hello, Virgo season) and we are delighted to be showing up amongst a super-talented lineup of folks on August 22 for the last Alleyways market of the summer!

You know I’ll be there in a dog shirt with all kinds of collars, leashes, harnesses, p**p bag holders and the summer best-seller - slow feeders!

Somehow, we all blinked, and it’s already (almost) mid-August! Sophie (pictured) and Sunny made the most of their beach adventures, equipped with their trusty Lewis & Clark Pass martingale collar. We mean it - these collars are meant for whatever summer adventures your pup has in mind. Whether its like Percy & Pebbles having urban adventures and rolling in mud (and animal excrement etc) on our rural lot, the beach, or a good old-fashioned hike, these collars have seen it all!

This best-seller is still available on our site (thanks to several restocks) and a little birdie told me that there may be another scenic print arriving this Fall 🙈

👏 Clear Lake shoppers & their doggos! 👏

You folks really came out this weekend to the summer market at Danceland! It was so fun to meet so many of your dogs. To all the good dogs who had a good sniff, got a scratch in the perfect spot, laid down on my feet (or in the aisle) - your humans are the best and you’re living the good life. I missed taking SO many dog photos because, frankly, I was too busy patting your dogs.

To all the humans - thank you! Thank you for coming to see me year after year, giving me updates on your dogs’ adventures, and continuing to support small businesses. Small businesses don’t exist without the good folks like you.

To - thank you for putting on a great market in partnership with . This market remains my favourite of the year! This year was extra special as I got to spend the weekend with my longest-standing friend (30+ years!) and ultra talented maker and we finally got to participate in a market together! So special. As always, a big thanks to my hubby for Tetris-packing the car, helping during the weekend (including v.critical coffee runs) and for always supporting this business!

Also a special thanks to everyone who came anywhere near me with my (non-contagious) HORRIFIC swimmers itch and offered me various lotions and potions and sympathies, or shared in my terrible dark humour with me. 0/10 recommend getting swimmers itch ever, but especially don’t do it before a market, okay? 😅 Percy and Pebs had the best time at and we are now happily all reunited back in Winnipeg.

My next market is my favourite of the year - the summer market at Clear Lake!

This market is at the beautiful and historic , in the heart of Wasagaming. If I’m not at my booth, you can find me submerged in the lake 🧜🏼‍♀️

Admission is $5 at the door, and your wristband will allow for unlimited re-entry. The vendor lineup is A+, and I’ll be beside my friend and super-talented maker !

2 markets in 7 days - wrapped!

We just finished up two of our summer markets - the and Slice of Summer markets! It was wonderful to see so many of you - my loyal customers - and meet so many new folks, too! I haven’t done this many markets in years, and it’s been great to be back. Big thanks to my hubby and also to my fellow maker who have helped me across the past week. A small business really does take a village, and I have a great one!

Kudos to the organizers of and for hosting great local events!

Our next market is only 3 weeks away at the beautiful and I can’t wait. If I’m not at Danceland, I’ll be in the lake!

In case you missed the news, the Manitoba Pet Expo has been rebooked for this weekend! The is held at the St. Norbert Community Centre and is full of wonderful products for animals of all kinds! I have my biggest booth ever, and you know it will be full with collars, leashes, harnesses, p**p bag holders, lick mats, key fobs, and yours truly asking you to show me photos of your dog 😘

Is your dog a social butterfly? Pets (leashed/in carriers) are welcome at this event! Perfect to try on some gear to confirm the perfect fit, or let their dog pick their own collar and make my day!
