Spirit of Hope Rescue

Spirit of Hope Rescue We are a volunteer run, foster based, non profit dog rescue that runs a low cost vaccination, spay/neuter, and food program for Indigenous communities.

SOHR was started in January of 2012 by Director Cathie Mieyette as a promise to herself that if she was to survive what was then a life saving stem cell transplant, she would start a rescue to assist First Nations communities with the overpopulation of dogs. Cathie is a four time cancer survivor. Since 2012, Cathie and her team at SOHR has rescued more than 4000 dogs.

❤️ SOHR would like to say a big thank you to two amazing alumni kids Tucker and Kaleah.
They held a Lemonade and Cookie stand to raise money to help rescue dogs. They raised enough to buy 2 big bags of puppy food and it’s perfect timing. Tomorrow we are saving 5 puppies so the food will go to them❤️

❤️ Maple is their alumni dog❤️
