Spirit of Hope Rescue

Spirit of Hope Rescue We are a volunteer run, foster based, non profit dog rescue that runs a low cost vaccination, spay/neuter, and food program for Indigenous communities.

SOHR was started in January of 2012 by Director Cathie Mieyette as a promise to herself that if she was to survive what was then a life saving stem cell transplant, she would start a rescue to assist First Nations communities with the overpopulation of dogs. Cathie is a four time cancer survivor. Since 2012, Cathie and her team at SOHR has rescued more than 4000 dogs.

❤️ June is Paws Event month and at Osborne and Seasons Petvalu they raise money for our Spirit Of Hope Rescue. You can make a donation at either stores or you can buy some tickets for some amazing prizes both stores have a 50 in TV & a BBQ & a Cat Tree & a Wooden Planter and many more prizes.❤️

❤️If you can’t get to either store to support us check out the poster you can send in an etransfer and we can fill in your tickets for you❤️

❤️ This Saturday June 27th at Osborne Petvalu from 10-3 we have a Yard Sale & BBQ (11 am to 2 pm) ($5.00 you get a hotdog and drink) & we will have Adoption events at Osborne and Seasons Petvalu’s from 11-2
We will have a bake sale and selling 50/50 tickets and Grey Cup Tickets

Finley is a very sweet and happy girl who have lots of energy and loves to play.
She loves other dogs, especially bigger ones, and her chewies.
She does have a stronger personality, so she would be best suited with someone with strong leadership.

Jazz needs a foster home she was adopted when she was 25 lbs at 5 months old. She wasn’t in great shape including being anemic. Foster mom Kathleen took great care of her during her recovery and when she was healthy she was adopted. Through no fault of her own the other dog doesn’t like her and we don’t want Jazz or the other dog to get hurt so Jazz is coming back into rescue.
