Spirit of Hope Rescue

Spirit of Hope Rescue We are a volunteer run, foster based, non profit dog rescue that runs a low cost vaccination, spay/neuter, and food program for Indigenous communities.

SOHR was started in January of 2012 by Director Cathie Mieyette as a promise to herself that if she was to survive what was then a life saving stem cell transplant, she would start a rescue to assist First Nations communities with the overpopulation of dogs. Cathie is a four time cancer survivor. Since 2012, Cathie and her team at SOHR has rescued more than 4000 dogs.

Faye is a sweet girl with a gentle soul.
She has lived in a foster home with another dog, two cats, and children ages 10 & 12.
She loves her toys and a good snuggle on the couch.
She absolutely loves being around the resident dog and would thrive in a home as a second dog.

Astro is the best boy!
He gets along with other dogs, cats, and humans of any age.
He would do best in a home where he has a fur buddy, big or small.
He is very well behaved and has zero agression towards other dogs, he will just let them take his treats and toys.
He loves to play or chill.
He is fully house trained and sleeps through the night in his kennel.

She loves to explore the world around her and laying inside cardboard boxes.
She is a lil sweetie and a great cuddler.
She loves her baths and playing in the water.
