Manitoba!!!

AFB has been called into action by the government of Manitoba to support the pets of the MB Wildfires.

The Animal Food Bank (AFB) wishes to acknowledge—and apologize for—the full suspension of our regular pet-food-bank operations in Winnipeg over the past year. The pause was unavoidable while our founder focuses on recovering from a brain injury.

Today, a lean but passionate volunteer team, supported by the Amp It UP Foundation (our charity), has stepped up to deliver emergency pet-support services for families displaced by Manitoba’s 2025 wildfires. Although our day-to-day Winnipeg program remains on hold, our commitment to keeping people and pets together in times of crisis has never wavered.

We are deeply grateful for the community’s patience and continued encouragement. Your donations and offers of help make this wildfire response—and our eventual full reopening—possible. Thank you for standing with us.
