K9 Ollie with her awesome new K9 Storm Inc ballistic vest. Thank you to Grant PUD and Grant County Industrial Alliance for their donations back in January! With their generosity we are able to keep our pup safe when she gets deployed! 🐶

Lots of great people doing God’s work in this one ⬇️
Repost • We are incredibly grateful to the Catholic Charities of Central Texas – Brazos Valley Office for their generous support of our K-9 Unit.
Thanks to the coordination of Valerie Zimmerman and the compassion of their entire team, Catholic Charities of Central Texas graciously covered the full cost of a custom ballistic vest for K-9 Garo through the K-9 Krijger Ballistic Vest Campaign.
These specialized vests, made by K9 Storm, are custom-fit to each working dog and cost approximately $3,000. Through Spike’s K9 Fund — a veteran-founded nonprofit dedicated to enhancing the training, care, and preservation of working dogs — K-9 Garo now has an additional layer of protection while serving our community.
You may remember Valerie and the Catholic Charities of Central Texas team as they previously donated Impact Crates for K-9’s Rico and Ciro, further demonstrating their incredible commitment to supporting local law enforcement and public safety.
Thank you, Catholic Charities of Central Texas – Brazos Valley Office, for your continued partnership and generosity. Your support truly makes a difference.

It’s always fun to see unique color combos chosen by handlers for their gear, like Teal embroidery on a Coyote Tan ID Harness for K9 Lilith.

When we heard the news that George Leonard, the founder of passed away unexpectedly last week, our whole family was in shock.
George was a driving force behind helping countless Canadian Veterans and civilians be paired with trained service dogs across Canada. Located in Winnipeg also, we built a friendship over the years, with George being a staunch believer in our products.
A few years ago, when we were developing our new sizing kit system, we asked George if he would be willing to bring a few dogs of various breeds and sizes to our compound to try the kits on.
He never asked for anything in return, he simply asked “how many?”
Within the hour, he arrived with a truck full of dogs, and helped us prove out the math of our system once and for all. For that, we will always be grateful.
Much love from the K9 Storm Family - Our thoughts and prayers are with the MSAR team during this difficult time.

What do you see when you look at this photo?
On the surface, it depicts a military working dog and his handler, kitted in a K9 Storm Aerial Insertion Vest and Intruder Camera System, storming into battle. You get a sense of their teamwork and movement simply by looking at them. It’s been one of my favorite photos in our collection for many years now.
Below the surface though, I don’t see any of those things anymore.
When I got the news that Erlend Gray, the handler in the photo, passed away after battling melanoma cancer for just over a year, I was heartbroken. Serving as part of the Norwegian SOF with multiple tours in Afghanistan under his belt, Erlend was a hardworking man of integrity, forward thinking, and respected by his peers throughout the tight-knit world of k9.
After his retirement from the military, he went on to start a consulting company in Norway that helped military and police agencies procure equipment for various operations. We worked on several projects specifically related to k9s in Norway, as his passion for dogs never wavered even after he left operations.
He battled his cancer diagnosis all the way till the end with both strength and honor.
Gone too soon, he leaves behind his loving family - Bjorg, Villjar, and Alma - the 3 biggest reasons he fought so hard in the first place.
Though his loss will be deeply felt here on earth, there’s one soul in heaven waiting for him with open arms.
His working dog, Pax, is surely ready to reunite with his handler once again.
