🐾 Grooming Announcement 🐾

To our amazing clients — we’ll be out of the salon on May 2nd, 3rd, and 9th as we spend some time at the barn attending a horse show prep clinic & fun show (May 2nd & 3rd) and a barrel racing clinic (May 9th)
with our friends from Amber's All Breed Grooming and Boarding

This time allows us to recharge and enjoy something that truly inspires us. Grooming is something we love, and taking this time helps us stay energized, creative, and at our best for you and your pups. Being around horses brings us balance, joy, and continued learning — a little “horse therapy” that helps fill our cup.

We do have some availability in between these dates for anyone looking to book a grooming appointment — feel free to call or text 431-887-3063.

✨ BIG ANNOUNCEMENT ✨
Okay… so this might come as a bit of a surprise 😅 but after a lot of thinking, learning, and honestly stepping a little outside my comfort zone… I’ve decided it’s time to expand my grooming career and officially welcome a new species into my services 🫣✨
Grooming has always been something I’ve poured my heart into, and over time I’ve realized I love the challenge, the growth, and building trust — not just with dogs, but with animals in general. Lately I’ve been feeling like I want to push myself, try something different, and open the door to new opportunities.
After spending some quality time at funny farm, I think I found my inspiration to take this new path in grooming 😂🐾
So… I’ve been quietly working behind the scenes, researching, practicing, and preparing for this next step.

We’re talking full-on “Barnyard Spa Days” — baths, brush-outs, light trims where appropriate, and getting these little (and not so little) cuties looking and feeling their best. I mean… why should dogs have all the fun? 😌✨
I’m not going to lie, this idea came with a mix of excitement and “what am I getting myself into” moments 😅 but I truly love what I do, and part of that is continuing to grow, even if it’s a little unexpected.
To all my amazing clients — thank you for always supporting me, trusting me, and cheering me on through every new idea, phase, and challenge. It honestly means the world to me that I have such an understanding and encouraging community behind my business 🐾💕

✨ Grooming Announcement ✨
Hi everyone 💕
I just wanted to share that I will be out of the salon starting this Friday after 5 PM and will return Tuesday at 10 AM.
During this time, I will still be checking messages when I can and will do my very best to respond as they come in. Please note that between 10 AM – 3 PM on Saturday (March 21) and Sunday (March 22), I will have limited cell service as I’ll be away attending a horse clinic 🐴, so responses may be a little delayed during those hours.
On Monday (March 23), I’ll be spending the day celebrating my birthday 🎂 with my pups 🐾. Messages on this day will be returned when available, and I truly appreciate your patience and kindness as I take this time to recharge and enjoy some special moments.
Thank you all so much for your continued support, understanding, and trust—it truly means the world to me 💕 I’m so grateful for each and every one of you and your wonderful pups.

Let’s talk matting.
Matting is a serious health and animal welfare issue, not cosmetic. It affects dogs and cats with long, dense, double, or continuous-growth coats (shepherd mixes, goldens, poms, doodles, poodles, bichons, shih tzus, and long-haired cats).
Matting can begin as early as 6 months during coat transition or develop over time with inconsistent care. Risk increases during spring & fall shedding, winter months (longer coats, moisture, snow, jackets, harness friction), and with rain, humidity, and wet coats. Continuous-growth coats are especially high-risk.
Matting causes pain and medical complications. Mats pull on skin, restrict movement, trap moisture and bacteria, hide wounds and parasites, and can lead to sores, infections, circulation issues, mobility changes, and behavioral stress.
Routine coat maintenance is necessary. Dogs and cats require professional grooming every 2, 4, 6, or 8 weeks, based on coat type, lifestyle, and home care. Grooming should start early — around 3 months — to reduce stress and prevent severe matting.
Dematting is physically demanding and distressing for pets, groomers, and grooming tools. Prevention is the safest and most humane option.
