How much weight can a horse carry.

in my experience, a horse can carry an infinite amount.

They can carry the weight of broken hearts, broken homes, and broken bodies. Countless tears sometimes comb their tangled manes. Moments when parents and friends cannot be there to help and hold a person, horses embrace and empower. They carry physical, mental, and emotional handicaps. They carry hopes and dreams; and they will carry the stress from your day when you can't carry it anymore.

They carry graduations, they carry new careers, they carry moves away from everything familiar, they carry marriages, they carry divorces, they carry funerals, they carry babys before they are born, and sometimes they carry the mothers who cannot carry their own baby. They carry mistakes, they carry joy, they carry the good and they carry the bad. They carry drugs and addictions, but they also carry the celebrations.

They will carry you to success when all you have felt is failure. They will carry you, never knowing the weight of your burdens and triumphs.

If you let them, they will carry you through life, and life is hard, life is heavy. But a horse will make you feel weightless under it all.

2025 foals - accepting deposits

- Sorrel Filly - will go gray, full sister to “Rookie”
- Dunskin c**t - AQHA (mare is a nurse momma) full brother to “MJ”
- Sorrel stud c**t - Rovams Sassy Kilobar x Eye on Crime - he will go gray and will end 15’2-16hh

“MJ” Dun gelding, yearling, he’s halterbroke, has not had his feet done yet, practiced loading and unloading and he did really well.
MJ is a funny guy, he’ll stand with a leg cocked and lip hanging, no fear, and then be reactive, while the lip is still hanging… I think he’s been out on earth to teach me more patience. 😂🤷‍♀️

“Rookie” - sorrel with flaxen mane and tail, yearling, newly gelded, has had his first session with the farrier and did well! Has been trailered.

“Crash!”
2 year old gelding, will also go gray, halter broke and good for the farrier. Does have a scar on his upper RH shoulder, does not affect movement and I can show pics from when he was weeks old, getting it healed. Having me doctor him for weeks as a newborn may explain some of his lack of trust.

Crash is a more reactive horse, he has a brain and he’s respectful to his handler, but sometimes he reacts and then the brain kicks in. We’ve been working on catching him in a larger pen and it’s coming along.

He’s been on and off the trailer for practice and does well.

“Phoebe” 2 year old Filly, halterbroke, good for the farrier
This filly is solid and will likely end up 15-15’2hh.
She will go grey!

We’ve been lax in posting Maverick updates! No news is good news, he’s enjoying life as a normal little guy!
All of the babies are looking awesome! All sired by Eye On Crime and AQHA mares
Piper, Maverick’s adopted momma is doing awesome as well 😊

Piper and Maverick get to hang out here for a while! It was noted that he’s got a bit of an issue in the umbilical area, so a quick call and visit with the vet and we have a game plan 😊

All sired by Eye on Crime, mares are all AQHA with cow bred and ranch bred lines

They are buddied up and will join the rest of the herd in a few days 🥰
