Nicomekl Rowing Club

Nicomekl Rowing Club Recreational and competitive rowing in White Rock BC Nicomekl Rowing Club is located on the beautiful Nicomekl River in South Surrey, British Columbia.

Our club welcomes membership of all ages and abilities and encourages recreational rowing as well as the development of strong competetive crews. We teach rowing in the spring and summer at our Learn-to-Row classes and provide ongoing coaching and rowing opportunities with an NCCP trained coach through our weekly supervised rows. Why rowing? Rowers have the best all around fitness of any athlete.

Rowing provides the best of both aerobic and strength workouts by utilizing all major muscle groups in the upper and lower body. Participants can choose the intensity of the workout to best suit their fitness level. The sport of rowing is a very balanced activity, promoting health, fitness and camaraderie. Rowing in tranquil, natural settings instills a respect for nature and provides many therapeutic benefits. Rowing is a non-impact aerobic workout that can be enjoyed by the entire family and practiced for most of one's life.
