Remember when summer meant horses all day, every day?

No emails. No dinner to figure out. No laundry guilt. Just you, the barn, and that feeling of being completely off the grid in the best way.

That is Adult Summer Riding Camp at Silverfox.

Ride twice a day. Learn more about your horse and your riding than you thought you could in a week. Soak up the fresh farm air. Hang out with good people who get it. Eat lunch in the sun. Feel like a kid again.

This is the week you do not have to be anything but a horsey person.

February called us dramatic.

March proved us right.

There is something about the first ride back in the sand ring after a long winter that fixes things no therapy session ever could.

The footing softens.
The horses exhale.
We exhale.

And somehow the list of things we were all spiraling about gets about 80% shorter.

It’s a very special day at the farm! 🎂🍀 It’s Kristi’s birthday, and we wanted to share a few things you might not know about the powerhouse behind Silverfox.

Did you know? 🦊✨

⭐️ She’s trained with the best: Kristi has spent her entire career learning from and training with Olympians.

⭐️ She’s been to the big stage: She was part of the action at the Tokyo Olympics, helping support the highest level of equestrian sport in the world!

⭐️ She knows her stuff: Before Silverfox, Kristi managed some of the largest stables in Ontario. She’s a pro at leading big teams and caring for top-tier horses.

Now, Kristi is using all that world-class experience to do something different. She’s taking everything she learned at the top of the sport and bringing it here to create a sanctuary where people and horses truly click.

She’s our leader, our guide, and our biggest cheerleader. Kristi is all about high vibes, finding your rhythm, and building a partnership that feels like home.

We are so lucky to have her leading our herd. Happy Birthday, Kristi! 🎉🍀

At Silverfox, our horses mental and physical health always comes first. We continue to develop our RITE Training System to help our horses feel their best. We can feel them getting stronger and happier every day.

Now, we are adding real science to that feeling!

We are now using the Garmin Blaze wellness system during our training. This tool gives us real data, like how fast a horse’s heart is beating and stress markers. It is like a science experiment for our farm.

We want to see the numbers that prove what we already feel. This data gives us Clarity…It helps us make sure our training stays in Alignment with what the horse needs.

When we know better, we do better. We use this data to make our horses even happier and healthier. We never stop learning! ❤️

There is nothing quite like the feeling of day one at the barn. We are so happy to welcome these new riders to our adult “Learn to Ride” program! 🐎

Starting something new as an adult can feel like a lot, but we make sure you feel steady from the very first minute. We keep our groups very small so you get the 1:1 attention you deserve.

Our secret to a great start? We handle the steering while you focus on the riding. By controlling the horse for you in these early stages, we give you the clarity to focus on your balance, your seat, and your connection with the horse. Once you feel at home in the saddle, we move to the next step: teaching you how to communicate what you’d like the horse to do, with your own cues.

It’s about building a real partnership, one step at a time. At the foundation of every great partnership is communication… We are so excited for this group to fall in love with horses just as much as we have!
