I know I am terrible at posting about things on my page, and it isnt because I dont love being a dog trainer. However, my work life, personal life are very hectic as is so I try and fit in training when and where I can.
That being said.
I got a phone call just before Christmas from a lady who had to take her dog back to the breeder as he was "kicked out" of their apartment complex for lunging and supposedly "biting" someone when they were leaving the elevator.
This on top of apparently having multiple complaints about their boy barking incessantly.
After meeting and working with the mom and dad and the dog; not only was he removed without reason as no proof was shown to the owners by the complainant nor bylaw officer when informed; but he is just a nervous little man living in a big world and that can be scary.
We worked together to make him understand that the world isnt as scary as he thought and he didnt have to react in fear at everything.
While they are still working on making things stronger and better with him, today I got a message that made me cry from the mom.
This is the reason I still train and enjoy doing so! I love helping these families!!!! ❤️🐾

HAPPY GOTCHA DAY!!!
today is the day 3 years ago that I brought my Pretty Poppy home.
She has taught me so much, was my helper in getting my dog training certification.
Shes my best friend, my protector and my reason to keep going some days!

Today, I got the opportunity to shadow an agility trainer and it was one of the coolest things I've seen in a long time! I haven't stopped smiling and rethinking everything i witnessed tonight and it was amazing!
I haven't felt this ecstatic about things in general since I first got interested in dog training over 2 years ago and it is an amazing feeling!!!
I cannot wait to see what the next 2 shadow days have in store! Here's to an exciting 2 more weeks!
