A reminder our fall session is scheduled to start this Sunday. We have reached out to everyone who asked to be contacted, and we still have a couple of spots open. It’s not too late to join us!

OUR Fall Learn to Ride on the Trail Sessions will begin on Sunday, September 28th. Dates for this session will be September 28th, October 5th, 19th and 26th (there will not be a lesson on Thanksgiving weekend).

The cost per person for the 4 sessions total is $276; a $100 non-refundable deposit is required when booking to hold your spot, and the balance ($176) is due before the second week (October 5th in this case). Payment is accepted by eMail transfer to [email protected].

No special clothing or equipment is required; please dress appropriately for the weather each time, and boots with a small heel are ideal, but sneakers would be acceptable. We will provide ASTM-SEI approved equestrian helmets for all participants unless you happen to have your own.

We are back in the saddle again 🤠

A few quick updates and reminders:

🐴 Since the restrictions in Hants County have been lifted, rides will be on our amazing trails beginning tomorrow - we can’t wait to see the fall colours as they start to show🍁🍂

🐴 Our Learn to Ride on the Trail fall session starts on Sunday, Sept 28th - we still have 3 spots open - call to book (more details in the separate post on our page).

The 2025 Classic Heritage Beef Show is quickly coming to its close. A show of this calibre is not possible without significant effort and commitment of the organizers. OUR thanks go out to Bobby Best and the team for providing this opportunity yet again. OUR family is already looking forward to 2026!

We are very pleased with OUR cattle placings. If you have the opportunity, the cattle barn remains open at the Hants County Exhibition today - come see some of the finest beef cattle the Maritimes have to offer!

We also want to extend OUR thanks to Mitchell Best who, having won the Stihl RB800 Pressure Washer last evening, donated it back, resulting in OUR family winning it! We are already making a list of the chores this will make easier in times to come🙏

We are thrilled with yesterday’s news that the woods restrictions here have been lifted, and we are looking forward to rides beginning this Tuesday, September 23rd.

Meanwhile, this weekend finds our family at the Classic Heritage Beef Show taking place at the Hants County Exhibition in Windsor, the largest beef show east of Montreal. If you’re in the area, drop by - we’d be glad to see you!

This might be the message you’ve been waiting for…Anyone want to go for a ride?😃

Conditions here in Stanley remain exceptionally dry and the woods restrictions due to the extreme fire risk remain in place, so we will not be riding in the woods until those restrictions are lifted and hopefully after we see some significant rain, but we are not going to let that stop us from enjoying our horses and the beautiful fall colors this season.🍁🍂

Our team is working on a plan to show you parts of our ranch that are not usually part of our rides – using trails through our meadows and pastures that offer views of the tree lines from a safe distance and often feature local wildlife including bald eagles and deer (no guarantees, of course, they are wild animals!)
