Our second training day is this Sunday!

Water work focus will include introduction to water for puppies; marked & blind retrieves for older dogs. Will include introduction to canoes & kayaks & decoys & blinds

Field work will include pointing and steady to flush on live chukar; tracks to dead birds & drag retrieves

No shooting will occur given young pups and neighbours. All dogs must be on leash except during their turn to work.

Hi everyone! We’re so excited to start training. Reminder our fee is 85$ for the season (plus 25$ for family members). Below are the dates and locations of this year’s sessions:

ALL START AT 9 AM

- April 19th, 2026: Firefly Kennel and Dog Training (Darren Miller) 636 Southside Road, Upper Stewiacke
o Pigeon pointing drills and other field work.

- May 24th, 2026: Julie Towers 371 Old Indian Road, MacPhees Corner, Hants Co
o Tracking, retrieving, and water work.

- June 28th, 2026: Tim Whynot’s 46 Stage Road, Enfield, Halifax Co.
o Tracking, retrieving, and water work.

- July 26th, 2026: Julie Tower’s 371 Old Indian Road. MacPhees Corner, Hants CO
o Tracking, retrieving, and water work.

- Aug 23rd, 2026: Oakstead Kim Marryat and Adam Forbes, 1874 Cumberland Road, Pleasantville, Lunenburg Co
o Pigeon pointing and other field work.

- Sept 27th, 2026: Firefly Kennel and Dog Training (Darren Miller) 636 Southside Road, Upper Stewiacke
o Pigeon pointing drills and other field work.
