One of the many reptiles available for adoption over at Regional Reptile Rescue!!

This 3.5 year old, male, Enigma Leopard Gecko is ready to be adopted.
He is very active and has a very healthy appetite. The only symptoms he exhibits of the Enigma Syndrome is circling (walking in circles) and occasionally has trouble with his aim while hunting. Neither of these things effect him at all really, hunting takes a little longer sometimes, but he gets them. I would recommend keeping handling to a minimum, especially at first. Stressing the gecko can cause him to start circling. Feel free to reach out if you would like to give this guy a new home.

If anyone is interested in some reptile adoptions, check out Regional Reptile Rescue. We will be posting available reptiles over the next little while.

We have some animals available for adoption here at Regional Reptile Rescue. I will be making posts over the next little while of these animals. If you are interested in adopting any of these amazing animals, feel free to reach out. The adoption process isn't difficult. Basically, we ask some questions to see your skill/ knowledge level of the animal you are wanting to adopt, make sure you know the proper husbandry and have an appropriate sized enclosure.
When you adopt from us, our services don't stop there, we are here to help guide you and answer any questions you may have along the way.

Unfortunately, I need to rebuild my isopod collection. I only have like 8 kinds of isopods left out of about 35ish. Over the passed few months I have had a bunch crash out on me because I was WAY too busy with Regional Reptile Rescue, my Feeder Breeder Projects and some personal issues. Things are under control now and it's time to rebuild. I have also revised my plan on what isopods I am going to be keeping. I would love to have every single one but, realistically, with the rescue and my other projects, it's just not possible.

Yesterday, I did bin maintenance for the mealworms. I sifted each bin separating all the beetles, sifted out any large debris and sifted out as much frass as possible and set them all back up fresh, topping up substrate where needed. Added fresh flats and tubes and fed them fresh chopped vegetables. The 4 - 6 qt. bins are absolutely LOADED with 1/2" mealworms. The 2 - 12 qt. drawers are full of tiny baby worms and the remaining beetles to continue their breeding. It's looking like that mealworm upgrade might be coming sooner than expected!

Waxworms, Feeder Breeder Project #4. Doing very well, indeed. I went through all 6 of the smaller bins and removed all expired wax moths and cocoons from the first generation, along with as much soiled substrate as possible. I combined 2 smaller bins in 1 larger bin. I also mixed up a fresh batch of substrate and added to the bins to help with hydration. I ended up having to modify the bins ventilation a little after realizing a few of my newly hatched wax moths escaped through the holes I had in the bins. We are now on our second generation of moths that are working on producing our next batch of waxworms! These bins are quite packed with waxworms already. Just like the previous projects, I have plans for growing this project further. I have also learned a few new "tricks" to try out on our next batches.

Feeder Breeder Project #3: Discoid Roaches.
I started this project at the end of March with a couple starter cultures from my friend David at@incoginverts . I picked up a small colony from another friend shortly after, but fed off most nymphs to the animals over at Regional Reptile Rescue while my colony started to take off. I now have x2 bins like the one pictured and another smaller bin with a "backup" colony. I set up my second larger bin to transfer all the adult roaches over because the first bin was LOADED with a few different sizes of nymphs. A bunch of the females looked quite plump when I was transferring them to their new bin so I'm guessing this one will be full on nymphs soon too! I also have plans for a rack system for this projects expansion for when the time comes.

OK, let's get going with some updates on Feeder Breeder Projects here at Bugz By Bull.
Project #1: Fruitflies. Well they are Fruitflies, they breed like crazy and I am constantly having to make and split new cultures. So on to the next!
Feeder Breeder Project #2: Mealworms. I started this project in the first week of January with just under 200 mealworms. Now, I am at x4 - 6 Qt. bins and x2 - 12 Qt. drawers, absolutely packed with beetles creating the next round of mealworms. This project is about to get a massive upgrade! I have plans for a new rack to accommodate larger bins and more of them!

Hello friends and followers. I apologize for my absence from social media, I have been extremely busy lately. I have some big things in the works for both Bugz By Bull and .reptile.rescue. I will be making post regularly again. Many of my Feeder Breeder Projects have expanded already and it's almost time for another upgrade. I'm excited to share the things that have happened, are happening and will be happening in the near future!

To say the Peanut Beetles are doing well would be an understatement!! I decided to take a good look through them yesterday and discovered the bin was absolutely packed with Beetles and worms! So today I split the colony into 3. I added a little more substrate than I had in the original colony and topped off with some fresh peanuts.
