I am a Veterinary Technician and dog trainer with a passion for animals! I offer in home board and t I have been working with dogs my whole life.

I started pet sitting for neighbour's and friends when I was 12 years old, I have volunteered at many animal shelters, rescues, doggy daycare and vet clinics too. ifically but not limited to, dogs. I did complete a course at Georgian College where I then received my Veterinary Technician certificate. While completing school, I was also working at a boarding kennel where I learned about a new kind of way to train dogs. I liked what I saw and started educating myself. I started watching videos, reading books, following trainers on social media, I attended a dog training seminar as well and with all of this new knowledge, I needed to find some dogs to try my new techniques on ;)

I was working with a few local dog rescues who allowed me to use my new training techniques with the foster dogs I had. After my 6th or 7th foster dog, I decided I was ready to start training owned dogs too! I started with a few friends dogs while still continuing with the foster dogs as well and I started getting the same results! And that's how I started training all of my amazing clients dogs! :)

This post is very late, but we had an insanely busy month in July, and I took some time off from posts😅

GOOSE has gone home from his 4 week board and train program with a whole new set of skills🥰

During his time here, we solidified all of his obedience commands, built his confidence, worked on fog socialization and most importantly, taught him to be able to relax on his own🥰👏👏

Since being back home, I have been getting nothing but positive reports back🥰🥰

Goose is able to lie calmly on place, even when things get chaotic, he can lie down on his own outside instead of constantly playing ball until he drops from exhaustion, he was the perfect dog at his little humans sports game and all because of training, he got to go to dock diving with his other balanced, dog pals🥰👏👏

I am so proud of Goose and how hard his family continues to work with him so he can keep living his best life😍❤️👏🐶🐶

This trio had a blast this week, they got a field trip every day!🥰🐶👏👏

Trained dogs makes life so much easier and this way, the dogs can join you on some adventures with you and enjoy being dogs!

They get to run off leash, play in water, come into stores with me and so, so much more🥰😍

We had a VERY full house this weekend and we're gearing up to do it again!🥰🥰

(Mahkoons, Apollo, Tuk, Stella, Bandit, Oakley, Fang, Goose, Lola and Hutch too!)

We had a mix of personal dogs, dogs that have trained with me previously and dogs currently in training, no matter what, this is why training and structure is so important!
I can safely handle each and every dog in the house, they co exist with one another, they know proper leash walking skills so I can take more than 1 for a walk at the same time ans I don't have dog fights occur and all dogs can be crated quietly overnight so I can properly rest to do it all over again the next day😂

**Remember** we fill up very quickly in the summertime, so don't wait to book your pups in today!

MAHKOONS, the 2.5 year old Chocolate Lab, is almost halfway through his board and train program with me already!! Time flies!

Mahkoons showed up here with no name recognition, no respect for his handler on leash, rushed through doors, wouldn't come when called, no confidence and overexcited with other dogs!

In just over 1 week, Mahkoons had started learning his name, his recall is very reluctant, but its coming along! Mahkoons has conquered my scary floors and stairs, he's learning proper manners around other dogs and his leash skills are coming along nicely 🥰🐶

We still have a lot of work to do, but Mahkoons is making an effort to work with me, he's excited to learn and I can't wait to see what else we can do in the next couple of weeks!

GOOSE is a 3.5 year old German Shepherd who is here for his 4 week board and train program!

You may recognize Goose as his family has done some private training with me over the years and the work they've done is very obvious 🥰👏👏

They just need a little bit more help with his dog reactivity/intensity around dogs, focus work around distractions, solidifying that recall no matter what distractions are around, we're working on confidence building and overall just finding that "off" switch, sometimes its okay to lie down and chill out!

Goose is such a good boy, very happy to learn and loves to please!
He's already settling in well, starting his e collar work and starting to lie down in the yard on his own with no distractions!
We can't rush the process, he's already making great progress and I'm excited to see what we can accomplish over the next 3.5 weeks!🥰🐶🐶

OAKLEY is back for structured daycare on this warm Wednesday morning 🥰🥰

We love when Oakley comes to stay! He's already completed a board and train program with and that keeps maintaining his training a breeze while he's here!

He already knows how to crate quietly with my dogs, he chills on place, starting to understand dog socialization cues and he's so easy to walk👏❤️

This fun boy loves to play, his confidence grows everytime I see him and I love having him here🥰❤️🐶🐶

This post is a bit late, but better late than never!!

TANNER the 1.5 year old, 140lb Great Dane went home from his 3 week board and train program a totally new dog!!

This big boy came here, pulling on leash, pouncing on humans to play, counter surfing and his ears were just for decoration, not listening;)

In just 3 short weeks, Tanner has done a total 180 and now I can walk him with my pinky finger, he comes when he's called, he's not jumping or running around the house anymore and is overall much more enjoyable to have around now because he can mind his manners 👏❤️❤️

I loved every minute of having this giant boy stay here, but he was ready to go back home and continue his training with his family!🥰🥰

HUTCH is an approx. 2 year old Great Dane who is available for adoption!!!

This big boy is an absolute sweetheart and all he wants from you is love.... and maybe some playtime ;) He loves to play with toys and loves a good tug session!

Hutch is such a gentle boy (except for his whip of a tail because it's always wagging!) and he will just stand by your side all day, gladly accepting pets and ear rubs, but he also won't complain if he gets to nap on his bed all day either ❤️

Hutch is great in his crate! He sleeps in there all night, can be left alone for up to 6 hours when you're not home!

Hutch is a very friendly boy with all people and dogs he has met! He even knows most of his obedience commands and his leash walking skills are getting better daily!!🥰👏👏

Overall, Hutch is a very happy, easy going boy that you will be beyond lucky to take home!!

DAISY the 10 month old Goldendoodle has already been here and left after staying with us for her 2 week board and train program!🥰❤️

Daisy came here with an already solid foundation and understanding of all her obedience commands.
She came here to solidify all of these commands with distractions, introduce her to the e collar, teach her place work, recall and confidence building!

During her short time here, Daisy learned to trust her handler, they will always advocate for her space and focus on them, she learned the place command so she can be out with her family, but not tripping over her and she's learning how to build more confidence in herself 🥰👏👏

I'll miss this cutie, but she's ready to go home and continue her training back with her family ❤️

BONKERS is a 4 year old Husky/Corgi mix
(ADORABLE, I know) and he's here for a 4 week board and train program!

Bonkers has had a bit of a rough start to life to say the least, this poor dude is already on his third home in his short life which has understanably caused a lot of anxiety
Luckily he's found his forever family and they've reached out for training help so he can be a more relaxed boy and learn that he doesn't have to stress about everything 🥰

During his time here, Bonkers will be learning his basic obedience commands, off leash recall, proper manners on the walks so he doesn't have to get carried past distractions in an "air time out" 🤣
And he will be perfecting the "out" command as well. This boy guards food/toys which isn't okay and he also likes to eat dead, frozen rats, which is not only disgusting but also very dangerous not knowing if it's diseased or even injested poison!

Bonkers and I have a LOT of work to do, but I'm already starting to see some interest in working with me, he's understanding leash pressure and he's learning how to relax when I've asked him to stay in one spot!

I know Bonkers is going to continue to thrive and keep an eye out on our stories too for daily updates on his progress 🥰🐶🐶

Our Story

I am a Veterinary Technician with a passion for animals. I have been pet sitting for about 11 years. I have been training dogs on my own now for 2 years after shadowing, working with and learning from a very talented balanced dog trainer who helped give me the extra skills and knowledge I needed to work with dogs on my own. I also went to a Jeff Gellmen 2 day training seminar to further my skills and knowledge I have also previously worked at several different Veterinary Clinics, 2 boarding kennels, in which I was Assistant Manager at both & I have worked at doggy daycare’s watching up to 40 dogs at a time in the same open area. I have volunteered at 3 different SPCA branches and I have been fostering dogs for local rescues for 5 years. We are an in-home dog training, boarding and doggy daycare facility. We offer a calm, quiet, structured environment. We do crate the dogs while we are not home, or if we are working with a training dog. This also helps our boarding and daycare dogs keep a calm state of mind and it keeps them and our home safe. We allow controlled interaction between all the dogs, teach proper manners and social skills too! We have a selection of dogs beds, couches, crates and blankets for the dogs to choose from while they have supervised free roam in the house. We also offer dog walking, visits to clients homes, baths, nail trims and training sessions too!
