Hello friends!

Starting in the new year a couple important changes are going to be made to the rescue. With some recent life changing news, I will be putting the rescue on pause so that a new tiny human can have my full attention 🥰

1. I will no longer be taking cats in and adopting them out by myself. I will be talking with another rescue and can ask them for assistance when it is convenient for them as they have helped me in the past but can no longer provide emergency services for trapping

2. All kittens and cats in the rescue have been adopted at this time ☺️

3. I will still be assisting people in trying to find homes for their animals but with the recent news coming up in my life, I cannot navigate a whole side business.

Please don’t hesitate to reach out for any assistance if needed as I do have some connections

With the rescue bringing in and finding homes for over 50 kittens/cats, I want to thank all of the families and individuals who have supported me and have adopted along the way.

As a way to end the 2025 season, if you have adopted from me, please post a photo of them so that I can create a slideshow.

Tator and Tot have had quite the history. After a near death exprience right after coming into the rescue and lots of intervention from an amazing vet who I stumbled across from calling the emergency clinic- these two girls are ready to be adopted. They have been vet cleared of any parasites, have received their vaccinations and will be spayed in the coming days.

The vet who helped me at the wmergency clinic was gracious enough to open her home for these two and being them back to life

She is offering her clinic to spay them and has been such a great person!!

Tater has always been the “big sister” and protected Tot since day one while Tot is more of the snuggle bum and loves affection.

I would really love these two to be adopted together since their bond has grown so strong!

This morning “Mama Bee” surprised me with a little grey kitten. She had it all cleaned up by the time I woke up and shortly after she delivered 2 more kittens before taking a break.

The second kitten that was born unfortunately had a birth defect and was born with his/her intestines growing outside of its umbilical cord. The baby was born smaller than the rest only weighing 79 grams. Mamma did her best with cleaning it up and trying to keep it warm but eventually wasn’t interested as it wasn’t healthy.

She then delivered a 3rd kitten and took an hour break before delivering 2 more.

5 kittens were born in total but the one with the birth defect passed 3 hours later. I called the vet and they had told me that there reallyy isnt anything I could have done especially as a newborn kitten with that type of injury/defect. We do not know how it happened but thats besides the point. To try to fix something like that, the vet said theres a high chance of more complications in the future and a low chance of it even surviving if i chose to bring it in especially since mom was no longer warming him or helping it latch.

She let me help her, clean her up, weigh the babies, touch her belly and all of the above. What a good mama.

Kittens are all healthy weights weighing in between 114-118grams.
Kittens are doing great latching on mama and mama has her appetite back and is resting. From 7am until 1pm she was in discomfort but still showed so much love towards her babies.

Concerning images ‼️‼️

Today I had plans to try to trap 4 kittens around 8-9 weeks old from a colony in sturgeon. Waiting from 11-3, I had no sightings of any kittens even though I knew they were somewhere close by. I didn’t spend too much time there but just as I was about to leave, the property owner saw a little black tail peaking out from behind his riding lawnmower. With him telling me he was going to cut his grass once it cooled down, I felt instant relief that we had found not 1 but 2 siblings.

Not the original 4 that I saw in photos but 2 kittens from a whole other litter we had no idea about. Thankfully because of their age (4 weeks old) they weren’t able to walk which made saving them soo much easier but sooo much more sad since they couldn’t defend themselves or have mom around to protect them from dangers outside or the lawnmower.

Their eyes were in pretty rough shape but given them being outside, they were relatively clean, had no fleas and had a decent amount of weight on (which means mom was around). Once I saw their eyes, I didn’t want to risk any more illnesses or infections so I brought them to the vet to get checked out.

They were given tobramycin for 14 days and had an eye infection which upper resp was also ruled out due to the fact they had no nasal discharge. Both were in over all good health. One weighed 522 grams and the other was 388 grams.

Two lone sisters waiting for whatever the future brings. 🫶🏻🫶🏻🫶🏻
