I know it's been some time since we were at markets. But I thought would let all of Ripley's friends know.

On Thursday (December 12), I received some devastating results of an x-ray. Ripley had a BAD fracture on her front right leg (elbow). Due to her already missing her hind left foot, amputation - which would be the recommendation - was not an option. And due to her progressing Addisons Disease, any surgery would be very iffy and actually decrease her quality of life if she were to come out of it. The kindest option was the hardest option.

Saturday morning, I sent my sweet Ripley to run free. Without pain. And hopefully on 4 feet once again.

Thank you everyone who ever stopped to allow her to show you her sweetness. Her unique ability to make people not afraid of the German Shepherd. To get hugs and sweet little kisses. Ripley truly and genuinely loved you all.

Well! It's been a minute!

After a hiatus and much brainstorming I'm back! A little differently........

Everyone is feeling the pinch of inflation. Because of the rising costs of foods, I had to take a step back and reevaluate this business. While I wasn't doing this to get rich, this is a business that needs to make a profit in order to stay alive! In good conscience, I could not charge what I would need to to make even a SMALL profit.

So with a lot of consideration including my time, my funds, and all of the dogs out there, I'm offering amazing treats again!!

In order to keep prices on treats reasonable you will notice my products are now very minimal. Including packaging! Keeping it simple without compromising quality!!

All baked treats NEED to be kept frozen or refrigerated. These treats are only good in the fridge 3-4 days before they expire. These are all made with only the freshest ingredients!!

A new dehydrated treat is on the menu. I call these "Meat Thins". It's like a cracker, only single ingredient meat!! I will have a variety of meats to offer!

Treats will be sold in 100g bags.

Baked treats - $8 or 3 for $20
Meat Thins - $10 or 3 for $25

Please be patient as I relaunch these! All treats are made in small batches and may be limited supply.

It's Market Day tomorrow!!!!

The Salty Dawg Barkery will be at the Tatamagouche Farmers’ Market tomorrow!

Unfortunately with this heat wave continuing into the weekend, our beloved little Ripley will have to stay home and sulk in the air conditioned house.

Fingers crossed next weekend brings better German Shepherd appropriate temperatures so she can get back to her job!!

Hey guys! We miss you all sooooo much!!! We haven't disappeared, we've been busy enjoying this east coast summer. And working.......

Our wonderful friend, Krafty Kween will have some of The Salty Dawg Barkery goodies on their table this week and next week at the Tatamagouche Farmers’ Market . Dan's also got some new pieces YOU DO NOT WANT TO MISS OUT ON!!!

The last of my rabbit meat going into fresh cookies! 🐇🍠

Last week's sales of rabbit cookies went better than I thought.....so, before I take these cookies off of the market menu, I thought I would ask the masses to see how much interest there is in these cookies.

If there is enough interest, I will also make rabbit soft chews treats available. Those treats, very much like the liver chews can be available as wheat free and wheat friendly and will need to be kept refrigerated.

So.....tell me!

I didn't get the pleasure of meeting Vernon in person yet but I did see his award winning fluffy butt swaggering through the market yesterday! His mom came in and grabbed these liver soft chews for her best buddy and it seems we did not disappoint!!

I'm hoping to meet this little stud muffin soon!!!!

Sacrificing this amazing day off to bake fresh goodies for this Saturdays Tatamagouche market.

It looks like we are in for some pretty icky weather on Saturday so you will likely find me inside this week. Ripley is already very unhappy about missing ANOTHER Saturday visiting with all of the humans but is very happy to make sure these fresh treats are the best ones yet!

The Farmers Market is always a great place to visit. Rain or shine!!!

Hey friends!

I'm in the midst of some fresh cookies for some upcoming markets and thought I'd give an update.

I am working full-time and do have limited time now. I really do enjoy having a day or two off as well! I am still planning on providing the dogs with tasty, wholesome, homemade goodies but I am operating at a very limited capacity.

This being said, in order to keep up with production as well as quality, I will be simplifying. I will be eliminating some flavours but will still be bringing special/seasonal goodies to the table.

Based on my sales last year, my best selling baked cookies were Peanut Butter & Bacon, Bacon & Cheddar and Bacon & Blueberry. I plan on focusing on these 3 flavours for production. As well as my dehydrated meats. The new soft liver chews are also a really big hit and I will continue to make these as well.

Lobster season is upon us, and there will be lobster cookies! Please bear with me with my timeline! I will do my best to have some available for my next market on May 28.

It's been so long since Ripley has worked, she tried to get a job at Canadian Tire today!

My sincerest apologies for our absence. My work schedule has had me working weekends lately.

Ripley and I will be back for a couple of Saturday's coming up!

We will see all of our friends at the Tatamagouche Farmers’ Market May 28th and June 4th. I will do my best to have some product at the market on the Saturdays we are not able to attend the market.

We did it! We perfected one wheat free recipe!

I have the soft liver treats that are now made with oat flour and are completely wheat free! I will have these at tomorrow's Tatamagouche Farmers Market!

The weather is calling for perfection tomorrow! Ripley and I will be at our table outdoors tomorrow. Come by and grab your treats and maybe treat Ripley to a needed hug. ❤️❤️

My heart is shattered into a million pieces.

I lost my best pal this afternoon. The Salty Dawg himself, Otis.

Please give those pups extra goodies along with extra hugs. Life with dogs isn't long enough.
