Gryphon and Fable had impacted coats, and were rather dirty after a weekend of camping in the rain last weekend. And now... bliss! These two have never looked better. 😍

Time is flying!

Fable's second litter is now 3-weeks old, and they're starting to become FAR more active! They're engaging in play with one another and Mum, and are learning to use their voices.

This past week has been about gentle handling, and allowing the puppies to safely explore their area with a few safe toys without overstimulating them.

We have peepers! 👀🤩

Puppies are born with their eyes closed because their eyes, and the rest of their central nervous system, are still underdeveloped. The closed eyelids protect their delicate eyes from damage by factors like dirt, grit, or bright light while their optical nerves and other structures mature. This is an essential part of their development, which is necessary to protect their vision and give them the best chance at healthy sight later on.
