We are so pleased to welcome our veterinary assistant, Shelby, to the PenVet Team! Here is a little bit about her:

Shelby is island born and raised and currently resides on the Saanich Peninsula. She has worked with animals in a local non-profit setting for the last few years before joining our team and she is passionate about using a fear free approach when working with any animal, no matter what stage of life they are in. When not at work, you can find Shelby busy working at her farm with her many rescued animals or at the track racing a vintage car or motorcycle.

PenVet Mobile Services will be closed Friday August 30 - Sunday September 15, 2024. We will reopen Monday September 16 at 8am.

Online appointment requests will be monitored if you would like to arrange for our services after September 15, 2024.

Sweet little Bella has such high fear and anxiety at the vet's office that Dr. Mary came for a house call visit to thoroughly examine her and discuss her quality of life. She was so relaxed with mom at her side that a thorough chest auscultation could finally be performed, where a loud heart murmur was found. At home, she was in her element ready for all the belly rubs! Way to go Bella!!
