🐾 The first Cedar Coast Vizsla Meetup in Vancouver is ON tomorrow! 🐾
I’m so excited to finally kick off our very first Cedar Coast Vizsla Meetup here in Vancouver!
📍 Hadden Beach
🕙 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM
We’ll be there rain or shine, so throw on a rain jacket, grab a coffee, and come let the pups burn off some energy, meet some fellow Vizslas, and hopefully make a few new human friends too. 🧡
Just a quick water quality update for anyone planning to let their dog swim:
The latest reading at Hadden Beach was 234 E. coli/100 mL. A swimming advisory is typically issued at 235 E. coli/100 mL, so Hadden Beach is currently just 1 point below that level and remains open while additional testing is being completed.
For comparison, Third Beach recently measured over 700 E. coli/100 mL, which is why a swimming advisory was issued there.
Whether your pup wants to swim, splash, or just zoom around the beach with their new red-headed friends, we’ll leave that decision up to each owner and their comfort level.

Hi, I’m Denise.
Born and raised in British Columbia, I’ve always had a love for dogs, nature, and the outdoors. After spending 10 years living in England, I discovered my passion for dog behaviour, training, and structured pack walks.
It was there that I welcomed my first Hungarian Vizsla, Hudson, into my life. Hudson became my training partner, adventure companion, and the dog who inspired me to build a career working with dogs.
Today, with over 8 years of experience in dog walking, basic training, and pack management, I provide calm, structured, and enriching walks designed to help dogs thrive both physically and mentally.
At Cedar Coast Pets, every dog is treated like family, and every walk is about more than just exercise. It’s about building confidence, creating positive experiences, and giving dogs the opportunity to be dogs.

We’re starting Vancouver’s unofficial Vizsla Social Club 🐕 A monthly beach meet-up for all the red dogs and the humans obsessed with them.

🗓️ First meet-up: Saturday, June 27th
⏰ Last Saturday of every month after that.

Let your dog stop and smell. 🌹
Sniffing isn’t just a pause; it’s how dogs experience the world. It gives them mental stimulation, reduces stress, and can tire them out more than a long, fast walk.
So don’t rush. Slow down, let them explore, and you’ll end up with a calmer, more fulfilled dog.

Stanley is working on staying focused on his walks and building a strong connection with his walker (with lots of encouragement along the way). He takes his sniff breaks very seriously… got to read the daily dog mail, after all.
