Happy Caturday! We will be open regular hours all weekend including Monday!

While many businesses are closed to observe the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation, we can’t afford to do so right now - we also can’t afford to donate the sales for the day. What we can do is give money monthly to the Tsleil-Waututh Nation (which we have been doing for a year now) as not just an acknowledgement that we do business on the unceded territory of the Coast Salish peoples but because words are not action and only action will move reconciliation forward. This NDTR we recommit as a business to stand with First Nations in their call for Land Back, grieve as a community for the harms done to them, and encourage all settlers to consider their role in the ongoing colonial violence that founded this country.

Cats really are the best and we are so lucky to have them. They teach us lots of important lessons like how to prioritize rest and self care, having excellent boundaries and living in the moment!

NINA AND ROSE LOVE CATS

All cats. Every last one of them. Your cats. Our cat. Especially black cats. We love cats so much we just had to open Vancouver's only all-cat supply store. At Happy Cat Feline Essentials we have everything you need for the happiest, healthiest cat possible.

Once upon a time, Rose was managing a pet supply store and - although she loved her doggo clients - she thought, I love cats, there should be a store just for them! She came home and told Nina (as they are housemates) who thought it sounded like a pretty great idea. Nina had worked for a long time caring for cats at Catfé and had met many like-minded cat enthusiasts, so could see that a space just for cats wasn’t crazy and might actually work! She had also met many cat guardians who needed more guidance and advice when it came to giving their cats the best life possible - and wanted to be able to recommend a place they could go to talk to someone. “Maybe we could create that space!” she thought.

In their kitchen, with their beloved boy Wilson observing, Happy Cat Feline Essentials was born!
