Vancouver Bug Zoo The Bug Zoo concept was founded in 1997 in Victoria, BC, Canada.

The founder, Carol Maier, is an entomologist with a passion to share the wonderful world of insects and arachnids with the general public, tourists, school and community groups.... everyone! The Vancouver Bug Zoo is in the start-up phase (looking for working partners and the perfect location in downtown Vancouver). We are hoping to open in the spring of 2018 with an amazing collection of LIVE giant tropical insects and arachnids from the jungles all around the world.
