OUR AWARD WINNING,ORGANIC, ECO-FRIENDLY DOG GROOMING STUDIO in East Van is looking for Part-time dog groomers (require weekends), a potential to change to Full-time. We offer quality dog grooming with fabulous customer service and value patience, kindness, cleanliness, and attention to detail. In addition to working with dogs, this position also interacts with clients and involves helping keep the studio clean.
Hours:
- full time/Part time hours
- Hours will vary from 9:00 am to 6:00 pm
- Require weekends shifts
Salary:
- commission/hourly (negotiable) + tips
Job Responsibilities:
- Cutting dog's hair according to breed or clients request
- Bathing, drying, and brushing dogs
- Clipping and filing dog's nails and brushing dog's teeth
- Ensuring standards of cleanliness are maintained in the salon
- Assisting with daily cleaning such as cleaning after accidents, crates, laundry, sweeping and mopping
- Responsible for checking dogs in and out
- Able to lift up to 23kg+ (50lbs+)
Experience:
- Minimum of two years professional experience grooming dogs in a grooming salon
- Fully trained in breed trims and sc******ng
Knowledge and Skills Required:
- Professional dog grooming experience
- Passionate about dogs and providing them with a safe and calm environment
- Basic computer skills
- Pet first aid is an asset
