Finally on our way home from Calgary! Thank you to all the amazing people that put on such a fun show! We were unable to get away from our table much and look around, it was just that busy!

It was awesome having conversations with people that I have only known online, and it was fun sharing our passions with the Alberta community!

We are already planning our return next year!

Welp, we didn't make it to Calgary and are staying the night in Golden, BC.
We stopped for gas and snacks, and ended up being a couple minutes behind this crash that shut down highway 1 in both directions.
Had we not stopped or were quicker with picking out snacks, we would have either been just ahead of this accident, or in it. Scary to even think about.

We are safe, warm, and all the geckos, isopods, and plants are in the hotel room. Back on the road after a good sleep!

Hi friends! It's been a long while since I've posted here, and I apologize for being so inactive!

The end of last year, and the beginning of 2026 has been oddly busy, yet seemingly quiet around here.
- In December we said goodbye to the best cat someone could ever ask for, Myla. She got sick fast, and we had to let her go before we could really make sense of it.
- We have been doing renovations to our place, a lot of it ourselves. Things are almost complete and I'm so happy with how things look.
- My career has been more demanding of me, and I'm needing to take time to ensure that I can maintain a physical job, meaning getting into shape and hitting the gym more.
- We have been trying to invest more time into friendships. The years of covid, school, and career change made us into social hermits.

I needed to step away from social media for a bit, because this world forced me to focus more on my life, my relationships, and my body.

But I'm back, still loving my animals, still making plans for the future of Klepto Geckos, and still enjoying my time in this community!

So let me reintroduce myself to you! I'm Heather, the face behind the account! Along for the ride is my partner Matt and our dog Mindi. I have owned reptiles since 2010, and have bred Geckos since 2016. I used to be a dog groomer, and now I am an RMT. We live in beautiful New Westminster, BC.
