Located in the heart of Vancouver and just minutes from downtown, Aqua Paws is the first ‘eco-friendly’ warm water pool for dogs in the city. Our Ionization water purification system reduces the need for harsh chemicals, salt and other potential irritants resulting in pure, crystal-clear water that feels like a natural hotspring!

When we think of paralysis, we usually think of the limbs, but little Zoe here is experiencing facial paralysis due to a severe inner ear infection.
Thanks to conventional medicine, her infection is all cleared up, however she still has a head tilt, droopy lip, and can’t blink on the right side of her face.

Well, the same rehab principles we use for limb paralysis can be applied to any other area as well! First, we use modalities, such as LASER and acupuncture to help improve nerve signaling, reduce pain and inflammation if present, and to stimulate healing. We use manual therapies to decrease compensatory tightness (Zoe’s neck was super tight!). Finally, rehab techniques, like neuromuscular facilitation, and muscle retraining are continued at home to help stimulate the nerves and muscles. Look at the difference just 1 treatment, 5 days apart has made already (initial on the left, first follow up on the right).
