Meet Blue, the mini aussie 💙

Bringing back our portrait intros!

Blue joined our Wednesday early bird hikers last August. He was a little shy at first, but over the months he has cozied up to his new furiends.

Now that he’s fully comfortable and his confident self, he’s known for his little “fly jumps” whenever he’s with his buddies and lots of lickies for Tom when he hops onto the Pupbus!

His hiking BFF? Lewis! And if you love Lewis, you know you love Elmo too.

Pupworld turns TWO tomorrow 🎊🎈

Warning: a sappy letter to our dearest clients & supporters 🥹

We can’t believe in the blink of an eye, it has been two full years with all of you. It has been the wildest, dreamiest, most fun and challenging two years of our lives, and we wouldn’t have it any other way.

We want to thank you for giving us the priviledge of growing alongside your fur besties and alongside your life journeys! In the last 2 years, we got to see your puppies grow up with our packs, and we got to witness so many of you reach milestones in life - moving to a new city, getting your dream jobs, starting a family together. It makes us so happy to have made so many new furiends and friends over the years, and we owe it all to you.

For us, it has always been about bringing some magic into both your and your pups’ lives, and we hope we have made a positive impact, just as you all have for us.

We never could have dreamt of building such a loving, supportive community. We are grateful for all of you - thank you for always celebrating the good times & milestones with us, thank you for supporting us through the toughest times, and thank you for being a part of our community we are proud to call our second family.

It’s mindblowing to us that we have now hiked with over 100 of you, and we can’t wait to meet more of you. Here’s to celebrating 2 years of fun & love, and to us expanding our hikes to service and meet more of you 🥂

Happy National Walk Your Dog Day!

Did you know that daily strolls with your dog isn’t just good for their physical and mental well-being but also do wonders for yours?

We can attest to that 🙋🏻‍♀️ well, Tom can 😂

Staying safe in cold winter days 🧣

It’s been a cold few weeks! While most dogs LOVE snowy zoomies, here are some things to watch out for.

🧦 Gearing up for winter walks
- When it’s below 0°C, we recommend putting a winter coat on your dog! If the coat is waterproof & insulated, even better
- When it’s snowing, or when there is ice & salt on the sidewalks, we recommend putting booties on your dog. Be sure to desensitize your dog to wearing shoes before putting them on for walks - work within what they are comfortable with!

🦮 Winter Walks
- Pay close attention to how your dog is doing. Keep walks short, and if they show any signs they are cold or uncomfortable, end the walk. There are other ways to give them the enrichment they need indoors where they are nice & warm!
- After a snowy walk, if your dog has curly hair and snow is trapped in their coat, soak their paws in lukewarm water. Avoid picking it out with hands, it can be painful
- Weather watch: smaller dogs are more susceptible to the cold. Avoid walks when it is colder than -4°C

❄️ Winter Hikes
- We watch the forecast closely for extreme weather conditions, & use the guide in the post for hike cancellations. Save the guide for reference! Useful in both winter & summer
- Some dogs love the cold and some are susceptible to the cold and snowy weather & trails. Cancel as needed!
- We test drive every morning when there is snowfall for road conditions. When we purchased pupbus 2.0, we made sure it was equipped to safely travel for winter days

🥶 Watch out for signs of frostbite!
- Signs of frostbite: leathery feel to the skin, ice crystals on the skin, fluid filled blisters
- If you notice any of the above: move indoors quickly & wrap your dog up in a blanket. Soak affected areas in warm water (not hot water!). Seek vet attention if needed, if affected parts are frozen and need thawing

We are all about having fun, but safety always comes first! Sometimes we gotta be the killjoy to keep the fur besties safe.

LAST HIKE OF 2024!

It’s crazy how another year flew by just like that. Thanks to all of you, we get to do what we love every single day.

Looking through the thousands of photos from this year got us feeling some typa way. We made so many memories together and welcomed so many new furiends into our little family! We feel so lucky & grateful.

Hope the furry friends forgive us for taking a short break! We will be back on the trails January 6!

Walking in a winter wonderland ☃️❄️

Still can’t believe we got our first snowy hike in November this year! It was fleeting but we LOVED it. Manifesting more snow days to come and a White Christmas this year 🩵
