Our 2-year old Bengal has been in the VCA - Vancouver Animal & Referral Center- for 2 weeks now. She was admitted there with vomit, diarrhea and high fever.
Despite countless tests—bloodwork, X-rays, ultrasounds, stool sampling, cytology, and a biopsy—her illness remains a heartbreaking mystery. Serious conditions like FIV, FIP, and cancer have been ruled out, but we’re still searching for answers.
A few days into her hospitalization, Lua developed a severe wound near her hind legs, v***a, and a**s, where the skin fell off entirely. The cause is still unclear—it could be a reaction to medication, an early symptom of her illness, or something else. While her wounds are healing, surgery is now being considered to help her recover without complications.
As you can imagine, this ordeal has been overwhelming. In desperation, we created a GoFundMe—something that hasn’t been easy for us to do. The support we’ve received so far has been humbling, and we are deeply grateful.
Lua still has a long road ahead, and we need to continue raising funds to give her the care she needs to survive.
Any support means the world to us—whether through donations, prayers, positive thoughts, or simply sharing her story with fellow animal lovers. Every little bit helps as we fight to save Lua’s life.
Thank you for your kindness and support during this incredibly challenging time.
