It’s never easy to find the words to say when you’ve lost a dog you love so much. That’s why I’ve held off on making this post for a bit. Sweet Eddie left us last month ❤️ he was such a bright light in our group walks. Although he was one of the oldest dogs in the pack he never lost his puppy energy, running and keeping up with some of the fastest dogs in the crew 😂 We are so incredibly grateful to Eddie’s family for allowing us to have so many wonderful adventures with him and giving us all some beautiful last walks together. We love you so much sweet Eddie ❤️ I can’t help but this he’s running around with his best friend, Sultana up there 🐶🌈

Now Accepting New Clients for Group Walks!

Looking for a way to break up your dog’s day while you’re at work? Or just need a break from daily walks? Our group walks at Pacific Spirit Park could be the perfect fit!

We take small groups (up to 6 dogs) on a one-hour adventure through the beautiful PSP trails. We offer both on- and off-leash groups, accommodating different recall levels and reactivity needs.

Hi Folks 🐶 As a follow up to my email this morning I wanted to make an insta post highlighting some important dates to remember for this year! If you did not receive this email please check your junk folder or send me a quick text!

Please note- we will also be taking June 30 off in addition to July 1

I am also so excited to let you all know that I will be getting married this year! While I will still have access to the outside world I will be doing my very best to be as disconnected as possible while my partner and I enjoy the newlywed life in Hawaii 🌺 🌴🐠💍💒
During this time Ella & Ava B will still be offering walks, with some possible timing adjustments to the schedule. It will be difficult for me to make any last minute changes during these few weeks so I ask that you get any schedule changes to me by April 19 so I can ensure things run as smoothly as possible while I am gone.

I will also be sending reminders via text and email as well as regularly updating our insta stories leading up to all these dates.

Everybody give a warm insta-welcome to our newest team member Ava! I promise she wasn’t just hired because we share the same name (although it did help). Ava’s experience with reactive & anxious dogs has been such a tremendous asset to our team. She has been with us since October and has already formed many strong, incredible bonds with the pups. With a deep understanding of dog body language & positive reinforcement training, Ava works hard to ensure all our pups live their happiest, healthiest lives while out with her. We are so thankful for all you do for our dogs❤️🐶 Can’t wait for many more adventures together!

We are absolutely gutted to let you all know that our gorgeous girl, Sultana has passed away. Her journey with us was such a special one, starting with private walks and reactivity/anxiety towards other dogs then gaining so much confidence, moving into off leash groups, making friends with everyone. She never really looked like a dog, more like some kind of deer-like forest creature. So regal and beautiful ❤️ We will miss her tremendously as will all her doggy friends and her amazing mom, Marjorie. We love you so much sweet Sultana, we know you’re running through the woods with Knox up there 🌈❤️🐶

Very excited to introduce the newest face of Bark Ave, Gomez ♥️
Maybe one of the quickest foster fails of all time, he arrived from Cabo Thursday night and immediately fit right into our home. He’s adjusted so well and is just the most calm & cuddly little dude. We already love him so much 🥹♥️
The addition of Gomez into our family will come with some changes, I will no longer be offering pet sitting services. All pet sitting will be exclusively handled through Megan, Ella and our newest walker, Ava B (who you will all be meeting shortly over the next few weeks).
Thank you so much for your understanding! I can’t wait to share more of our little dude ♥️

A long overdue introduction to our wonderful pet sitter, Megan ❤️

Hey, I’m Megan - a part-time pet sitter for Bark Avenue Dog Adventures! I was born and raised in Kelowna, and have been living in Vancouver since 2004. I currently work remotely as a graphic designer by day, and have started pet sitting this past year. My passion for all things ‘dog’ started as far back as I can remember. From puppies to seniors, I have experience with numerous dog breeds from many diverse backgrounds - including rescues and those that have complicated health issues. While I enjoy and embrace the unique personality of every dog I meet, I have a particular soft spot for those pups that struggle with reactivity, anxiety, or any other big feelings that require a little extra patience and understanding to make them feel safe and comfortable. I follow positive reinforcement methodologies and am also certified in Pet First Aid.
