We're hiring!

We’re looking to bring one full-time or two part-time team members onto the Honourable Hound Team!

Working at Honourable Hound means being part of a small team that values high-quality, comprehensive work. Our company culture is relaxed, inclusive, and proudly neurodivergent and LGBTQ+ friendly. While our culture is easygoing and judgment-free, we are fiercely committed to professional development and growth!

Applicants who make it past the first interview are encouraged to speak with our past and present team members, as we believe that job interviews are two-way. We want you to be just as excited to work with us as we are with you!

Who We’re Looking For:
✅ Certified R+ professionals (CTC, KPA-CTP, Dip. CBST, etc.)
✅ At least 1 year of experience
✅ Someone friendly, approachable, and upbeat. In short, an extrovert, or an introvert who’s great at pretending 😉
✅ Happy to collaborate and open to feedback – This gig is not suitable for the lone wolf type
✅ A clear communicator, both in person and via email
✅ Reliable and punctual with decent time management skills.
✅ Committed to force-free, science-based methods – This is a must

Con-GRAD-ulations to our most recent puppy class graduates and their families 🥹🐶🥳

Willow, Gogi, Tobi, Fergie, Tia, June (and their humans!) recently graduated from our puppy program by working so hard on settling, focusing, and learning how to play safe with other pups.

Our play-focused socials are a great addition to a pups training routine- exposing them to safe play, and getting them used to both playing and watching with others in a supervised environment.

Welcome to the team, Sarah Shapiro-Ward, Ph.D! When this overqualified rockstar isn't busy teaching her dogs to play Connect Four, clicker training her horse, or appearing on CBC BC Today, she can usually be found teaching group dog training classes of all types. And here at Honourable Hound, that's exactly where you're going to find Sarah. We're rather fond of leaning into our team's strengths, so what they do best is what you'll find our team members doing!

Like all our trainers, Sarah is exceptional. It takes a special individual to convince our founder, Holly Chen, to take on a trainer that she didn't mentor from scratch with our intensive 2-year mentorship program. In a standardless industry, we hold ourselves to the high standards that we believe every pet parent deserves to experience. Qualified, compassionate, ethical & effective help.

Sarah has been training dogs since 2018, and has racked up a number of impressive credentials and accolades throughout her journey as a dog trainer, including graduating from one of the world's best dog training schools and being a regular contributor for . Nowadays, you'll find Sarah working with us to bring you cutting edge, practical & fun classes that you can't find anywhere else in the lower mainland.
