Dream River Stables Home to the orignial Pony School , often imitated but never duplicated. Our one of a kind program is like no other in the maritimes.

Offering English Riding Lessons & Programs ages 4+
Private Lessons & Events Riding School that starts from the ground up. There is so much information and things that young riders should properly learn before riding a 1200lbs animal on their own. With most programs being outdated, I began designing The Saddle Club. Where kids learn from the ground up, not only to become great riders but to be a g

reat horse person something that is needed to proceed in this sport. The Saddle Club is a safe place to make friends both human and equines, and enjoy everything we can learn about horses and riding. With all age and experience levels in mind there are separate groups and all in tack lessons are private. There is a huge plethora of knowledge that goes into owning and riding horses, and most of that is learned on the ground. This program is separated into two parts . Every week The Saddle Club hosts Pony School, which is an interactive learning session about different topics. There are different grades of pony school and as they continue their journey every 12 weeks a graduation is held to introduce them to the next grade of Pony School. As the grades go up, so does the complexity , and riding opportunities.

Due to the heat warning and humidity in effect
We have made the decision to reschedule tonight’s lessons . These are not decisions we take lightly , however with the humidex reaching 40 degrees Celsius today , it is unsafe for our riders and horses to be ridden now that the heat has set in for the day .

After our morning chores this morning , we all took a break and then brought Zeus in for the first few lessons . However we put our horses health as a top priority here at the farm , we looked over Zeus , acknowledged his sweat from being in the sun , his tired eye & droopy lip and as a group talked about why it is far better to skip todays ride for the heath of the horses and riders alike 🥰 this is truly what our program values, horse lovers who want to ride but always put the horses first !

The morning has not been waisted, we learned about grain and the horses diatery needs , had a relay and then played in the indoor with a sprinkler!

Still lots of fun to be had !

PS Zeus is fine ! Just tired from the sun like everyone else 😉

Just after we had told all of our waitlisted friends for this summers camps that the spots were taken , we had a last minute cancellation.

We have an available spot in our camp( which have been full for quite some time )
