We had Kiko join us the other day for a groom. The owner requested the dog to be shaved due to the heat. Our fabulous Maryanne took over and tried just a Deshed and carding the coat. She was able to remove a tremendous amount of under coat and the dog turned out looking fantastic
Sometimes it’s not about shaving.
It’s about removing the undercoat so the dog can stay cool

As a professional pet aesthetician, I would like to inform all my valued four-legged clients that I closely monitor their skin and coat health. At the Pet Shoppe, we employ a rigorous 3-step process for all canine clients. Firstly, we administer an initial bath to remove debris and dead skin cells. Next, we utilize a specially formulated shampoo to address specific skin issues. Finally, we replenish and restore the skin's natural sebum. Our conditioner selection is based on the presence of skin problems, and we may incorporate additional oils or minerals as needed. My commitment is to provide optimal care for all dogs visiting our salon.
