Meet Delta, a beautiful mixed-breed girl, around 6 years young, with a zest for life and a heart full of love. She’s the perfect blend of playful and sweet, with a personality that’ll keep you smiling every day.

Delta absolutely lives for the outdoors — running, sniffing, and exploring new spots are her idea of heaven. If you're a person who loves to hike, jog, or just take walks, Delta will be right by your side, tail wagging and ready to go. She’s also a total treat-lover (she’s got a very expressive face when the snack bag comes out!) and has a quirky, funny personality that shines through in everything she does.

Whether it’s her goofy zoomies or her curious head tilts, Delta knows how to keep life interesting. Here is Rory, the Pet of the Week for the Greater Sudbury Animal Shelter! 💙

“Meet Rory, a 2-year-old male Shar Pei mix who’s ready to find a forever home! Rory came to us from another rescue after being overlooked for far too long—just because of his unusual looks. But we think his one-of-a-kind appearance is part of what makes him so special!

Rory is incredibly obedient and food motivated making him a joy to train and eager to please. He thrives with structure and will shine in a home that continues to help him build on his great manners. He knows to sit, lay down, stay, paw, and comes when called.

He does have a high prey drive, so he’ll need a home without cats or small dogs. He hasn’t been tested with dogs his size yet, so we always recommend slow supervised dog introductions before hand to see if he finds a good match.

If you're looking for a loyal, smart, and striking companion who’s just waiting for someone to finally see him for the good dog he is—Rory might be your guy.

Meet this week’s City of Sudbury Animal Shelter Pet of the Week!

“Say hello to Sasha! 🐾

She’s 6 months old, a sweet bully breed mix, and just 40 pounds of pure puppy energy and curiosity. Like most pups her age, Sasha is goofy, playful, and full of love — she’s always up for a game, especially with her favorite big banana toy!

She loves meeting new dog friends through the fence where she can run and bark to her heart’s content. We think Sasha could live with cats too, but she’d need a slow, proper introduction to make sure everyone gets along.

Treats are Sasha’s #1 motivation — which will make training her a lot of fun (and super effective)! She’s smart, silly, and loves to come up for pets when she’s done playing.

If you want a joyful, affectionate puppy with a silly bark and endless energy, Sasha’s your girl! Could she be the new best friend you’ve been waiting for?

Meet this week’s Greater Sudbury Animal Shelter Pet of the Week!

“Meet Roddy! 🐾

Roddy is a stunning large breed dog, about 2 years old and weighing in over 100lbs— a true gentle giant! 🦴💙

He’s lived with another dog and has shown positive, calm interactions through the fence, so he could do well in a multi-dog home. He shares toys well and loves to run around and play. However, proper dog introductions are always recommended!

This handsome boy is very curious and loves to explore and sniff around. Roddy does show signs of separation anxiety and would thrive with someone or a dog friend to be around and keep him company. Roddy loves car rides and really enjoys to look out the window, he would make a great companion for someone who loves to travel. He’s fully house-trained and ready to settle into a loving home. 🏡🐕

If you’re looking for a loyal, calm companion with plenty of love to give, Roddy might just be the perfect match.

“Meet Florence 🐾

Florence is a handsome ~2-year-old Domestic Medium Hair with a love for exploring, treats, gentle pets, and peace and quiet.

Independent yet affectionate on his terms, he enjoys lounging in comfy spots and doing his own thing. He can be a bit grumbly or vocal at times, but don’t let that fool you—he still enjoys affection and will come rub up on you for a pet when he's in the mood.

Florence has gotten along with some female cats but may be happiest as the only pet in a calm, quiet home.

If you’re looking for a mellow, low-maintenance companion who respects your space and offers occasional cuddles, Florence could be the one for you."
