Pleased be advised that while we remain open to serve you, we are experiencing longer wait times in our hospital due to the holiday Tuesday.

We are operating on a triage basis and treating the most urgent patients first . We ask that you be kind and understanding of our hard working staff and veterinarians as they tend to many beloved pets!

Rolo is a staff favourite around the clinic!

How cute is he?

Him and his dad visit us in the clinic daily for bandage changes. His favourite color is hot pink and his favourite treat to deliver to our staff is donuts 🍩 ! Rolo is so used to us that he now lays down and rolls over for his bandage changes by himself!

Rolo is loved beyond words by his dad who takes the absolute best care of him! We are so pleased we get to take care of Rolo 😊

Beowulf is the sweetest little dude!

He stopped by for a routine visit and caught our attention before even making it into the clinic!

It’s almost Easter and with it brings the common Easter Lily! 🐣

This popular and inexpensive flower can be fatal to cats ! Known or suspected ingestion of any parts of the lily require immediate medical attention.

Chewing of a leaf or even a lick of pollen can be enough to cause irreversible kidney failure in cats if left untreated and requires immediate medical attention.

We send this alert and ask you to share it as each year we treat a handful of patients who have been exposed to this popular plant and prevention is key! We recommend to keep this plant out of your home if you have feline friends!

Yet another hero 🦸‍♀️

Eva is owned by one of our RVT’s and this past week she bravely donated blood to help a pet in urgent need . Although Eva has saved the lives of many dogs throughout the years, this was her final blood donation as she has hit her golden years! We thank Eva for her many donations and because of dogs like her, other dogs get a second chance at life.

Today we feature Bingo!

Bingo’s story is one that we just had to feature . He came to us suddenly very sick requiring an immediate blood transfusion. When we typed his blood, he was a type “B” which is extremely rare among cats.

We hunted high and low for a feline blood donor and after many hours , a veterinarian from Kawartha Veterinary Emergency Clinic set up a donor! It was a miracle and so many staff from there took the time out of their night to help! We are forever thankful.

Fast forward a couple days later and sweet Bingo needed more blood fast. We put a plea out on Facebook and the response from clients and surrounding veterinary clinics was amazing! We located another donor from the Brampton area and the same day a generous client rushed to us to type his scottish fold cats and one was in fact a match! This meant we had more blood close by if we needed!

Bingo fought through this like a tough champion and was discharged to his amazing owners. This day was so very happy for his family and our staff.

Oh sweet Murphy, how we enjoyed seeing your glowing face this week at your recheck appointment! You are the definition of fighter.

Murphy was with us for quite a while and was one of our patients who required life saving blood from one of our canine blood donors!

Thank you so much for the wonderful response to our plea for feline blood donors! We were able to secure a handsome donor to help out or sweet feline patient. Lance, a stunning B blood type kitty, came to the rescue, thanks to his lovely owner Dr. Long. 🐾

We appreciate you all so much and so does our tiny feline friend.
