Look at king of chill around here today, and we wouldn't have it any other way. Cooper knows how to make the most of his stay starting with a run around outside and taking a break in a comfy spot and those classic "I'm just observing" eyes.

Mary Whitney is this beautiful senior girl. She has been with us for an extended stay of training, and today we say goodbye as she heads home. Mary is fully blind, but she’s made incredible progress learning to navigate her world with trust and confidence.

Using a clicker, we’ve worked on helping her feel safe being touched, learning how to walk calmly beside her handler, and strengthening her connection through sound. With her ears now her most powerful sense, the clicker became her compass.

We’re so proud of how far she’s come. It’s been a privilege to be part of her journey. Way to go, Mary Whitney!

This golden girl celebrated her big day in true Island Dog Lodge style: party hat, treats, and plenty of sunshine! She spent the day splashing around the kiddie pool with her brother Maverick, making it a celebration full of golden grins and double the tail wags.
