Today is a day I never imagined would come.

Over the past six years, this store has been so much more than a business to me. It has been a second home, a place filled with friendships, laughter, challenges, growth, and countless memories. It has carried me through some of the biggest moments of my life.

As many of you know, there are changes ahead. While this decision was made for practical reasons and what makes the most sense moving forward, it doesn’t make it any easier. There is a tremendous amount of emotion that comes with closing a chapter that has meant so much.

What I keep coming back to is gratitude.

I am grateful for every customer who chose to shop local, every conversation shared across the counter, every kind word, and every ounce of support this community has shown me throughout the years. You helped build something truly special, and I will always be thankful for that.

My hope is that the next person who takes over this store sees what I have always seen in it—a place with heart, potential, and an incredible community behind it. I hope they love it, care for it, and continue its story with the same passion that I have.

Thank you for allowing me to be part of this community and for making these last six years so meaningful. No matter what the future holds, I will carry these memories with me forever.

Over the past year, my family and I, along with Bruce and his family, have spent a great deal of time thoughtfully considering the future of the store and building. This has not been an easy decision—it has come with a lot of reflection, discussion, and heartfelt conversations.

After much consideration, we have made the difficult decision to move forward with selling the store and building.

Serving this community has truly been an absolute pleasure. The connections, support, and kindness we’ve experienced here mean more to us than words can fully express. With that comes a great deal of emotion as we face the possibility of no longer running this little local country store that has meant so much to us.

There are many reasons behind this decision—some personal, some practical—and none of them were taken lightly. This choice comes from a place of doing what we feel is necessary for our families moving forward, even though it is incredibly difficult to step back from something we care so deeply about.

We are beyond grateful for your continued support and understanding, and for the role each of you has played in making this store what it is today. From the absolute bottom of our hearts, thank you—because without the support of this community, there simply would not be a store.
