Dog Pad & Paddle Resort

Dog Pad & Paddle Resort You Leave 'em...We Love 'em. Dog Pad & Paddle Resort offers cage free sleepovers and daycare for your dog. Registered Veterinary Technician on site.

Dog Pad & Paddle Resort is a family owned business, where dogs are our passion. Debbie is a registered veterinary technician and will cater to your dog's individual needs. Your dog can stay for daycare or sleep over as long as needed. Flexible pick-up/drop-off times to suit your schedule. Convenience is a priority and special arrangements can be made if needed. You will pick up a dog that had fun

and is as drained as you are at the end of the day, so you guys can relax together when you get home. Debbie and her family share their home with three dogs, three cats & a pot-bellied pig. We all look forward to meeting you and your best friend(s).

Your best friend's happiest moments here this year were spent together and often included their favourite class, wood working 😉. Here's a 4 season glimpse at their hard work.

2025 nicely wrapped up 10 years of great fun at the dog resort. Thanks for all of your support over the years. Looking forward to 10 more!
Happy New Year everyone, all the best to you & yours in 2026.

Happy Halloween! Thought you would enjoy seeing some friends being themselves at Dog Pad & Paddle Resort.

Remember animal health is very much about prevention so let's do some of that tonight with keeping an eye on your pets at the trick or treat door, keep the chocolate/candy only with the humans and let the kids know to even keep the empty wrappers safe as they can cause their own problems if consumed.

Have fun & Let's Go Blue Jays!!

Happy New Year from all of us at Dog Pad & Paddle Resort. Wishing you and your best friends all good things for 2022!

The fire department has been good enough to give a heads up of the time of the fireworks display tonight. They will be going off between 7:25-8pm Friday September 24th by the lake in Tweed. I always count on some add-ons and just call it a night of fireworks.

You know your dog best so do your best to prevent any Friday evening firework issues with your best friend and prepare! If evening is your normal dog walking time perhaps not tonight, and if you insist on being out with your dog or you feel your dog will not react please still make sure their collar is snug and there is NO chance they can back out of it on you, just in case they are suddenly spooked you will have control. Don't let the kids hold the leash and make sure you are holding it well, no bolting possible. Keep your distance and keep everybody happy & safe. Enjoy the Tweed Harvest Festival weekend everyone!

Another year & for many this little dog toy could represent 2020...

Thanks so much for your support through a tough year and for brightening our lives with your wonderful dogs. Stay safe and all of our best to all of you in 2021!

🐾 Likely random fireworks tonight, keep your dog close and if a walk has to be part of the night make it quick and be sure their collar is snug in case of a fear response.

Merry Christmas from your dog’s other family! May you also be filled with gratitude today and excited for a new year.

RVT Christmas tip: Don’t underestimate your dog this week, with the turkey, with the decorations and perhaps with more access to an open door. If you have gifted rawhide dispose of it when it is small enough to get stuck in your dog's throat or guts.
Stay safe & we are here should you need us.

Here is some great information about what Registered Veterinary Technicians do, so many opportunities for us, including loving on and caring for your dogs while you are away or at work 🐾🐾❤️ .
Be patient with your veterinary hospital, this is a very busy and stressful time for them as many are still working with restrictions for all of our safety.

My best RVT advice for the fall, make sure your dog's nails are trimmed. It can get slippery pretty quick in these parts and long nails make gripping next to impossible. Do your best to prevent injury, if you need help trimming let us know!

Sometimes you just need to admire another’s dedication...
and craftsmanship!
Keep up the good work Radar, looking beautiful and we will appreciate the kindling!
