Did you know that Pro-Stride can be done on farm OR in clinic?!

What is Pro-Stride?
Pro-Stride is a device that helps manage equine lameness and osteoarthritis in horses by concentrating the cells, platelets, growth factors and anti-inflammatory cytokines from a horse’s own blood.

Wanting more info or trying to decide if this could be the right treatment for your horse? Dr. Ripley would be happy to help, give us a call for more info or to book today!

Jamie Laboucane Chuckwagon Team is a FORCE! We wish them the best for their 2025 racing season! We will be cheering them on and are excited to see what this season brings!!

A world champion in the making, Jamie has achieved incredible success in just two full seasons on the WPCA Pro Tour. He won the opening stop of the 2024 season when he swept the Grande Prairie Stompede by winning the Ralph Vigen Memorial for Top Aggregate time, and the championship final heat. He qualified for three more championship final heats at the Strathmore Stampede, Battle of the North, and the Wild West WPCA World Chuckwagon Finals in Ponoka.

He posted thirty-eight top ten runs, including five day money runs and twenty runs that also placed inside the top five. He placed in the top ten overall at seven out of ten show championships in 2024, and for the second consecutive year had a horse named to the WPCA Equine Outfit of Excellence.

In his first full season with the WPCA, Jamie captured the Medicine Hat Stampede and the Battle of the Foothills, made the semi-final round at the Ponoka Stampede, and was tops in the overall aggregate at the Battle of the Foothills and the Battle of the North. He had his third horse named to the Calgary Stampede Equine Athlete of Excellence, and finished the season as the reserve world champion in one of the closest races in World Championship history.

Jamie’s career began on the CPCA circuit where he was the CPCA’s High Point Driver in 2022, the Top Rookie Driver in 2006, and twice was the CPCA’s All Around Champion, and was the Calgary Stampede’s Safety Award winner in 2015. As an outrider, Jamie was a Rangeland Derby Champion Outrider in 2009, a Calgary Stampede Aggregate Champion Outrider in 2010, and the CPCA’s Top Rookie Outrider in 2002.

Don't miss WPCA racing action at the 2025 Grande Prairie Stompede, and join us at the Grande Prairie Stompede Association's WPCA Tarp Auction Gala & Fundraiser for your opportunity to partner with a WPCA driver!

Talk about a busy day yesterday!

Dr. Ripley rocked 3 surgeries, a calving and 7 horses for Jamie Laboucane Chuckwagon Team, along with a few small animal appointments.

Dr. Hardes crushed 8 semen tests up north and then came back to a little (a lot) of chaos but jumped in hands first, literally! With 3 back to back calvings and a few other bovine appointments.

Dr. Johnson came in a couple of times to graciously help out with a couple calvings as we literally had a line up of trailers down the driveway! (We sure are grateful for his help)

And of course they couldn’t have done any of it without the help of our wonderful techs, Kyla, Jennie, Laura and Chantel (this was Chantel’s first day back from mat leave and she jumped right in helping in every aspect, with a smile on her face to boot. I think she must have missed us).

Also a THANK YOU to our clients that had to wait due to all the calvings, we really do appreciate your understanding and patience ❤️
