Poor Betty came in after an episode that sounded like she was choking. After some x-rays, we found the likely cause: a collapsed trachea—a condition that’s common in small dogs.

This happens when the cartilage in the windpipe weakens, causing it to narrow. It often sounds like a honking cough or gagging, especially when dogs get excited, eat, or pull on a collar.

While it can seem scary, collapsed trachea can usually be managed with medication, weight control, and using a harness instead of a collar.

Here she is getting ready for her x-rays with Vet Assistant Jessica—such a brave girl! 💕 If your pup has similar symptoms, we’re here to help!

Sweet Ariel, the beautiful Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retriever, came to us for a C-section — and we’re thrilled to share that she delivered 3 happy, healthy puppies! 🐶🐶🐶

Mama and babies are all doing great, and we couldn’t be more honoured to be part of this special moment. 💙

Help us wish Ariel and her new pups lots of snuggles, sleep, and tail wags ahead! 🐾
