Schapendoes of Messy Hair Kennels is a responsible breeder of Schapendoes based in Tottenham, Ontario. Established in 2012, we produce family and show quality Schapendoes, with a focus on temperament, conformation, and structural soundness. We are members of the Canadian Kennel Club, the United Kennel Club, and proud members of the Schapendoes Club of Canada. We're happy to answer any questions you may have about this wonderful breed. Five generation of Schapendoes ❤️ To the left is Miss Millie, 14 years young. Her daughter, Audrey, 9 years. To the far right, Ally, Audrey’s daughter, who is 6 years old. It’s been such a busy weekend another3 Chocolatiers left yesterday with their forever families. Our friends drove from Quebec on Saturday to pick up their boy Ferrero now Paddy and stayed the night with their three Schappy’s leaving for the trip home Sunday. Then a family from Toronto came to pick up Laura now Beatrice (Bea) to bring her to her forever home. Then W***y left with his mommy for a plane trip to Manitoba to meet with his daddy. We wish the families and their new addition the best. ❤️❤️❤️

It’s that bittersweet time when the puppies start to leave. We are sad that the Chocolatiers are leaving, but so happy and excited for their new lives that are now beginning with their forever families. We started yesterday off meeting up with an old friend to bring her Reese. He was a big, brave boy and flew in a plane to head to his new home where he will have a 2 sisters and a brother. Later that day, Marie, now Alice, left with her mom to join her Briard brother. We wish both families all the best.

Toby was the fifth Chocolatier to be born. His brother Hersey was the fourth Chocolatier. Toby and Hersey we always said that they were the twins of the group they came really close in timing and only one placenta. They are going to be staying together in Toronto. Their mommy and daddy will be bringing them to their forever home next week. ❤️❤️

Can’t forget about this beautiful girl ❤️. Miss Millie is 14 years young today! We will be having her birthday party next weekend when it’s a little quieter in the house. She will have a special treat tonight her all time favourites rice crispy squares and a little goat milk to wash them down. We love this Spicy girl to the moon and back and pray for a whole lot more time with her.

The days have flown by since the Chocolatiers were born. We will be spending this week preparing for them to go to their forever family’s. This is Reese his mommy will be flying in on Saturday to take him to his new home in Nova Scotia.
