Welcome to Dog Lounge Dog Lounge is a complete dog day care and training centre located in Toronto, Ontario.

We offer a full range of services for taking care of your pets, such as private behavioural training, puppy classes, pet first aid training, day care services, dog walking, professional pet grooming, and customized pet nutrition recommendations. The Dog Lounge philosophy centres around the individual dog and its well being while under our care. We endeavour to provide a true "home-away-from-home" experience by maintaining smaller groups of dogs in a familiar home style environment. At Dog Lounge we boast a fully fenced in outside area as well as the two inside play areas.

Off to a beautiful start this week with this little girl, Genesis! 🐾💕
What a bundle of joy she is! Genesis had her very first day at Dog Lounge and wasted no time showing us just how confident and curious she can be. She happily explored the yard, checked out her new surroundings, and even tried her hand at making some new friends. 🐶✨
A pretty wonderful first day for this sweet little girl we’re already looking forward to watching her grow, play and become part of the Dog Lounge family! ❤️

We first met Brody back in 2015, when he was just a puppy, and over the years, he has become such a special part of our Dog Lounge family. ❤️

Brody arrived with his big sister Tasha, who had also been with us since she was a puppy. Tasha held and still holds a very special place in all of our hearts. We were lucky enough to share so many years with the two of them together, and you’ll spot Tasha throughout Brody’s photos over the years. There’s even a Christmas photo of Brody on his own that captures just how much his sister meant to him. 🥹❤️

Brody has always LOVED hitting the trails with us. He would run along with the biggest smile on his face, completely unaware of his own size or personal space! 😂 If Brody was coming, you’d better move because he had no problem taking you down with him!

He’d hit the ground, roll around and carry on, and by the time his trail walk was finished, he’d be covered in little birds, twigs and whatever else managed to find its way into that beautiful fluffy coat. 🌿🐾

And of course, Brody had his very own partner in crime: Nelson. These two could run those trails just as hard as one another and have been the best of friends for years. They’re still great buddies today, and you’ll see some of their adventures together in this photo series. ❤️

Brody has also spent many years boarding with us and having spa days. He and Tasha were inseparable, you can even see them together on the grooming table and in those classic moments where Brody was right behind her, ready to follow wherever she went.

Now 11 years old, Brody is still very much a puppy at heart. He’s a powerful boy, a serious wrestler and still loves a good run! 💪🐶 His latest outing shows that age certainly hasn’t slowed him down. And when the weather gets hot, you’ll find Brody enjoying another favourite pastime: swimming! 💦

Brody, it has been such a privilege watching you grow from that fluffy little puppy into the wonderful 11-year-old boy you are today. We’re so lucky to have shared so many years, adventures, friendships and memories with you. ❤️

There’s something pretty special about our trail hikes 🌿🐾
Luchilla, Brody, Bobby & Mabel were thoroughly enjoying every minute of their adventure! Luchilla was happily singing her way along the trails, Brody found plenty of time for some serious sniffing and rolling, while Bobby and Mabel were running with so much joy they were leaping through the air. 🐕💨
And Mabel? She came bouncing out of the bush with a few to many tiny burrs caught in her fur, a sure sign of a very good time! 😂🌿
Happy dogs, fresh air, trails and lots of exploring, that’s a pretty perfect day at Dog Lounge. ❤️

🐾 Welcome to the Dog Lounge family, Alakin! 🐾
We’re so happy to welcome Alakin, our new Grade 12 co-op student, to Dog Lounge! 💙
He’s already bringing so much love, joy and enthusiasm to our pups and it didn’t take long for us to see that he has a natural way with dogs. 🐶✨
Alakin also comes with some wonderful experience from rescuing dogs, so his compassion and understanding really shine through in the way he connects with each pup.
We’re excited to have him learning, growing and sharing his time with our pups here.
We have a feeling the pups are going to love having him around as much as we do! 🐾❤️

🐾☀️ Today was a GOOD day at Dog Lounge! 🐶💛

Our pups had the best time soaking up the sunshine, playing together, lounging around, and getting all the cuddles and love they could ask for! 🥰🐕 Nothing beats happy pups and sunny days 🌞🐾

Spin is one of the simplest ways to teach a dog that paying attention pays off.

Most dogs are great at moving in a straight line toward something exciting. Spin asks for something different, turning the whole body in a circle while still tracking a lure with their nose and eyes. That combination of movement and focus is exactly why it’s such a useful skill to build early.

In this video, the lure stays low and close, right at nose height, and the circle happens slowly enough that success is easy. Every full turn gets marked and rewarded right away.

Once that pattern is solid, the hand motion alone becomes enough to cue the spin, no food needed to get the body moving. It’s a small thing, but it teaches a dog that paying close attention to a hand signal pays off.

Spin also builds coordination and flexibility most everyday walks never touch, since turning tight circles uses muscles a straight line walk just doesn’t.

For a dog still learning body awareness, that’s real physical and mental work disguised as something fun.

Some beautiful friendships are blossoming at the Lounge! 💕🐾
Petey and Remi are becoming quite the little duo—every time they’re together, there’s lots of loving, cuddles and sweet moments between these two. 🥰
We were also happy to welcome back our lovely Lisbon! It’s always so nice having familiar faces return to the pack. ❤️
Meanwhile, the rest of the crew have been busy exploring and having fun with some new arrangements of the play structures. So many ways to play, sniff, climb, investigate and, of course, make the most of their day at Dog Lounge! 🐶✨
