Oh dear, another lockdown looming... We know this year has been really tough on everyone. All of the change experienced and sacrifices made over the last number of months have been stressful, disappointing and, at times, a real exercise in frustration.
We hope that everyone is able to find bright spots somewhere, even in the smallest of things, to keep their spirits raised.
To update you all on how things are going here at CTVR/EC:
We are still not having anyone but our clinic staff enter the building and this will not change for the foreseeable future. Our front door is locked for this reason. Please remember that we need you to call when you arrive at the clinic for any type of visit, and we still do not have a washroom available for public use during this time.
In terms of patients needing to see our referral specialists, clients are once again able to call to schedule their own appointments so long as they have the approval of, or are directed to do so by their regular veterinarians. This stands for all of our referral departments including Internal Medicine, Surgery, and Oncology.
Our Emergency department is operating as per usual. Should your companion(s) require urgent medical attention, please call us to speak with one of our staff at any hour, prior to coming in.
We are taking steps to prepare for the winter weather and have set up a waiting area behind our clinic for our clients. We have installed a raised platform with a tent on it and we are presently awaiting heaters for the space. While you are here and waiting for your companion(s) you are welcome to use this space but we require masks to be worn at all times and that physical distancing be respected.
In the unfortunate event that you need to say goodbye to your companion, we do have a private space external but attached to the clinic for families to be present for the procedure.
We’re doing our best to make sure patients and clients alike are comfortable while in our care. As always, if you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to reach out to us.
Take care and stay well!
