This is Snoop and she is looking for a forever home.

Snoop is an 8-year-old, strictly indoor cat with a genuinely affectionate personality. She's the kind of cat who seeks you out rather than tolerating you from a distance. She does best as the only pet in the home, where she can be the centre of attention without any competition. If you want a playful, loving companion who will always show up for you, she's the strongest candidate.

Hello Bayview Mall Vet Clinic Family!

We are excited to announce that this holiday season we are hosting a donation event for Edwards Animal Sanctuary, Save Our Scruff, and Vets Without Borders 🐾. Just like last year, our friends at Hill’s have offered to match up to 2 cases of any I/D diet 🎉! We understand that this holiday season has been tough, not just for pets but also for us “Hoomans”. So if you can, please consider making a small donation this holiday season, we would greatly appreciate it ❤️- whether it's a food donation to any of the rescues or a small cash donation to Vets Without Borders.

As mentioned last year, Edwards is a cat rescue that we have worked with before. Some of our team members have reached out to them to adopt cats and even foster for them as well! They go above and beyond to help cats in need as the issue of stray cats becomes more and more alarming every year.

Vets Without Borders is an amazing organization that conducts programs to help improve the lives of animals and communities around the world. Currently, they have programs to help communities that depend on livestock in South Sudan, Rwanda, Senegal, and Cambodia. In Ukraine, they work to strengthen animal care and veterinary work by collaborating with local partners. They also work in remote and underserved communities in Northern Canada to improve the healthcare of pets through their Northern Animal Health Initiative.

Save Our Scruff works to improve outcomes for dogs here in Canada by caring for displaced dogs through fostering, adoptions, and sponsorship programs. However, the scope of their work does not stop here. They also have rescue partners around the world in Mexico, Costa Rica, Jamaica and the Dominican Republic.

Hello Bayview Mall Veterinary Clinic family,

It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that we are notifying you all of Friska’s passing. He was one of our beloved clinic cats and “assistant manager”.

As many of you know, Friska spent most of his time napping for the past couple of months as his health concerns progressed. Our sweet boy passed peacefully on September 17th surrounded by everyone who loved and cared for him over the years. He was the best assistant manager ever, who appreciated all the attention you would give him and always made the gloomiest of days brighter with his never ending purring. We will miss his excited meows greeting us every morning and all his silent ones when we gave him head or chin scratches. He truly was one of a kind.

We know that all of you loved him and enjoyed his company as much as we did. He was our clinic mascot, greeting everyone who came to the clinic when he could and he loved the attention. He was an integral part of our clinic family and has left his paw prints on all of our hearts.

Friska, our handsome, darling boy, we miss you so much and will love you forever. You have crossed the Rainbow Bridge and have nothing to worry about anymore. You can eat all the turkey and cat grass you want, and can jump and run freely without worry!

We love you Friska❤️

Happy new year everyone! Hope you all enjoyed the holidays 😀

Our holiday donation event was a great success! We raised $200 for Edwards Animal Sanctuary and $200 for Save Our Scruff. We have also received a generous amount of food and supply donations. In addition, Hill’s has kindly matched 4 cases of cat food and 2 cases of dog food.

For the draw to win a free case or bag of Hill’s food, we entered the names of all of the pets who donated into a spinning wheel, with each pet receiving entries based on their donation. To make sure that the draw was fair, we shuffled the names before spinning the wheel. We have shared a video of us spinning the wheel so you can all see how the draw was conducted.

AND THE WINNER IS… Betty Franke!

Happy Saturday Everyone 🙂

We have some exciting news 🥳 This year we will be participating in Hill’s holiday donation event and all donations we receive will be going to Edwards Animal Sanctuary. Every $1 donated is an entry to win ONE free bag or case of Hill’s Pet Food and every donated can of Hill’s I/D stew will be matched up to 2 full cases!

Edwards is a cat rescue that always goes above and beyond to care for feral, stray, and special needs cats. This cat rescue is near and dear to our team as both Sophie and Dr. Burnett have adopted cats from them, and Eugene has fostered. Their love and never ending willingness to help cats is amazing to see as the number of stray cats has alarmingly increased over the years. So please consider donating if you can this holiday season.

Happy Halloween everyone! We wanted to share some of our team's festivities today.

Miss Sabine is rocking an octopus hat which cost us a cookie to get her to wear it. And! another one to get this picture. It was so worth it in the end because look at her cute face 🥰
Our clinic cats were also very thrilled about their costumes this year Eap is now Super Eap. Pumpkin is Batkin. And Friska is a spookalicious cyclops😂

The humans had a little more fun 😛 Calli brought in some of her inflatable costumes and as you can see, WE LOVED THEM! We might have to make them our new uniform, what do you guys think?

As for the treats, some of the team brought in some delicious themed goods! If you’re looking for a treat to give your cat friends this spooky season, consider our Silvervine Mice that are finally back in stock! Or try our new Double Whammies, which contain catnip and silvervine for double the fun 😉
