It's prime tick season! Protect your four-legged friend from Lyme disease, by:

➡️Regular Tick Checks: Perform thorough tick checks on your pet after outdoor activities, especially in areas with tall grass or wooded areas. Look for ticks on their fur, particularly in and around the ears, under the legs, and between the toes. If you find a tick, please call your veterinarian for advice.

➡️ Tick Preventive Medications: Consult your veterinarian about tick preventive medications suitable for your pet. These medications can provide a shield against ticks and may include topical treatments, collars, or oral medications.

➡️ Maintain Tick-Safe Environments: Keep your yard well-maintained and clear of tick-friendly habitats by regularly mowing the grass and removing leaf litter.

🐶🐱 Why vaccinate your pets?

Vaccines protect dogs and cats from harmful diseases like:
- Rabies (a fatal disease that can spread to humans 🛡️)
- Distemper (a highly contagious and often deadly virus)
- Parvovirus (a serious threat, especially to puppies)
- Feline Leukemia Virus (a leading cause of illness in cats)
- Leptospirosis

The benefits of pet vaccines:
- Keep them healthy: Avoid serious illnesses that can shorten their lives.
- Prevent costly treatments: Vaccines are a small price to pay compared to treating advanced diseases.
- Protect the community: Vaccinating your pets helps reduce the spread of dangerous diseases to other animals and humans.
- What you can do today: Schedule a check-up with us to ensure your pet’s vaccinations are up to date.

Your pets give you unconditional love—return the favor by keeping them safe! ❤️🐾

🐾 Why Pet Bloodwork Matters 🐾

Regular bloodwork is one of the best ways to ensure your pet stays healthy! Here's why:
- Early Detection: Spot hidden issues like kidney or liver disease before symptoms show up.
- Monitor Health: Track chronic conditions like diabetes or thyroid problems to adjust treatment.
- Preventative Care: Especially for senior pets, blood tests catch problems before they escalate.

Routine bloodwork gives your vet a complete picture of your pet's health, leading to better care and a longer, happier life! 🐶🐱❤️

As temperatures drop and snow blankets the ground, it’s important to remember that winter weather impacts our furry friends too. While we bundle up in coats and scarves, our pets rely on us to keep them safe and comfortable during the colder months.

Here’s our top tips for keeping your pets healthy and happy this winter⬇️
❄️ Supervise Outdoors: Always keep a close eye on your pets when they're outside in winter conditions. Watch out for slippery ice, snow piles, and frozen water sources.
🧣 Protect Against the Cold: For dogs with short coats or cats sensitive to the cold, consider extra layers like cozy sweaters, jackets, or blankets to keep them warm. Older or smaller pets may need more protection when heading outside.
🧊 Avoid Frozen Water: Never let your pets near frozen lakes, ponds, or streams. Thin ice can break unexpectedly, and it’s better to be safe with dry, stable areas for play.
🐾 Paw Protection: Salt, ice, and snow can irritate your pets' paws. For dogs, consider booties, and for cats, wipe off their paws when they come inside to remove any harmful substances.
🚗 Never Leave Them in the Car: Just like in the summer, don’t leave your pets in the car during the winter. Cars can trap cold air, putting them at risk for hypothermia.
