The process of crafting offerings made of kauna grass begins with the cultivation of kauna, a perennial grass-like plant. The grass grows to a height of around 6 feet or more and is cut when at its full height. It is dried thoroughly as the spongy inner portion of the stem has to be completely dry to prevent mold. The grass is either kept in its natural color or dyed in bright colors to highlight the natural shade. This pen stand stands out boldly in its natural shade!
