There are lots of ways to have fun on walks. Some like to bounce and play, others are happy just to enjoy the sniffs and wonders of this beautiful world. All of them, no matter what their personality, love being in a group with companions. Groups with me are generally consistent each day; designed to match temperament and interest, but it’s amazing what joy comes from some of the less likely matches. The love of an activity that one dog feels convinces another dog to try something new and find that they love it too. Socialization is not just about playing, it’s about learning to be with all types of personalities and to live a different life from the one they have always known. And in the end, a group is more than just a group, they are family-you don’t always like them, but you love them!

I offer customized walks based on your dog’s exercise needs, motivations, and temperament. To help all my dogs fulfill their outdoor needs, each group outing is unique.

I am out there walking dogs, rain or shine, but some dogs just don’t like rainy days, cold weather or extreme heat, and sometimes they just don’t feel well. Your dog’s outings are supposed to be a treat, not a punishment. I’m not happy if they aren’t. If possible, I will adjust my schedule to help your dog avoid bad weather or at least limit their time out in it.

To me dogs are like snowflakes – Each dog is one of a kind, with their own talents and quirks, loves and hates. I enjoy working with each dog to discover what they love to do while helping them overcome difficulties and avoid uncomfortable situations. For me, each dog walk outing is special. Every dog in my care is like one of my own. No matter where we are or what we are doing, all that matters is that I’m with them. Spending time with your dog is not a job, it’s a pleasure!

I am Pet First Aid trained, bonded and insured. I am also licensed by the City of Toronto as a professional dog walker. In addition, I am adamant about and experienced with training dogs to be good citizens. Using positive reinforcement methods, I will help them learn their manners in order safeguard them from the risks of the outside world.

About Me
Years ago I adopted a dog who suffered from anxiety and the associated behavioural problems. She was so fiercely reactive she could not be taken out for walks for many months after we brought her home. Our first walks were short and—in her mind—filled with peril, but over time she grew to love them and learned to trust me and knew I would keep her safe. It soon became her greatest pleasure to hit the sidewalks and trails of the area in search of sights and smells.

It was a long journey of recovery but the daily reward of seeing her live a full and happy life in the dog-loving community of Cliffside made every agonizing minute of that time worth it. I cherished these adventures and the opportunity it gave her for complete happiness and I would take that journey again with any dog in my care knowing that one more dog could have a chance to live a fuller life.

I am grateful to everyone in the Cliffside dog-owning community who gave my dog space when she was having a tough time, cheered us on through her progress, and welcomed her first daring approaches. Now I share this opportunity with other dogs in the community by providing one-on-one and group dog walking services.
