Today was a proud moment for myself, Relic and Sharon Porter-Trask. As some of you know, Relic and Sharon are heavily involved with the Newfoundland Regiment. Appearing in many parades and functions. Today Relic, Sharon and many other important people were awarded a bronze forget me not flower sculpture for the role they played in the repatriation of the Unknown Soldier.
Relic was on her best behavior and met the Lieutenant Governor amongst other important people from the Canadian Armed Forces.
She was given a bowl of water when she got thirsty and drank from some of the King's finest china. She only left a bit of water on the carpet. Lol
I was honored to be part of such an important ceremony and am a very proud momma and very grateful for Sharon and her including Relic in the Regiments functions.

After a super busy week here at High Tide Newfoundlands I'm finally getting a few moments to post .....
Last weekend at the Avalon Kennel Club shows 2 of my home bred babies, Avalon and Amelia, got to strut their stuff with their momma and show their not so little hearts out :).
Relic (King of Helluland Eternity Love) made her comeback debut since having her babies last year and gained herself 5 points towards her Grand CH, beautifully shown by Kim Moores.
Amelia (HighTide Canary in the Sky Amelia) had a great weekend as well and gained herself 7 more points leaving her with needing 1 pont towards her CKC Championship.
Last but not least Miss Avalon, (HighTide First Mate Avalon) also gained herself 1 point towards her CH title.
I couldn't be more proud of my home bred babies, they showed their little hearts out while learning the ropes of this dog show fun . Can't wait to watch these babies grow up and see what the future holds for them !!
Thank you to judges Patricia Taylor, Jean-Louis Blais, Lynda and Mel Saranchuk for recognizing my girls and to the Avalon Kennel Club for an amazing weekend !! Thank you to all who handled the girls, Charlene Cashin, Kim Moores, Oral Jestican and Noreen Lorenz. You all make handling look like a breeze and your hard work and dedication in the show ring is outstanding. Shout out to Donna Mallette-Hawkins and Kenny of CapeNauti Newfoundlands for making Avalon and Amelia possible. Looking forward to a fun filled year :)

Happy 1st birthday to the 'A Team'!!!
It's been an honour and an amazing first year, watching you all grow into such beautiful Newfoundland Dogs! Shout out to everyone along the way that played a part in guiding and assisting Relic and I raise such an outstanding litter! 'Kenny' from CapeNauti Newfoundlands in Ontario (Donna Mallette-Hawkins) is the sire of this litter, and such a handsome boy. You and Relic made some real lookers!!! Thank you to all of their new owners for taking such good care of them and giving them the best homes ever!

This weekend we spent at the Newfoundland (All Breed) Kennel Club for Avalon and Amelias first CKC show together. Each won best of breed twice. While we didn't take home best in show, at 10 months old they are just learning the ropes. A huge thank you goes out to handlers Charlene Cashin and Noreen Lorenz, Amelia's owners, Sharon and Dave Dooling for taking such good care of Amelia and spoiling her rotten. Last but not least, without Donna Mallette-Hawkins of CapeNauti Newfoundlands, these girls would not have been possible. Thank you to all along the way for your guidance and support. You all make this journey possible. I can't wait to see what adventures these girls bring us on! Stay tuned!

Hate to be the bearer of bad news, but wanted to let everyone know that was waiting, that the latest breeding with Relic was unsuccessful. It just wasn't meant to be this time around.
Contact me directly if you would like referrals to other reputable breeders that may have puppies available prior to us trying again.

Yesterday, the whole 'A' litter (except for Anchor because he lives away) met at the salon while George Aka Arnold, Anthony Aka Tony, now Presley, and Amelia had a big day being groomed while Relic and Avalon supervised. This made my heart so happy to have them together again.
