I hope everyone enjoyed their summer break!
Now that summer is over and the cooler weather is here, I will have to close the booking calendar for pony play dates.
We will still do the occasional mid day (warmest time) weekday booking (directly through me) but it is dependent on many fluctuating factors out of my control, mostly weather, and most importantly the ponies well being. These bookings are special bookings and the hair coloring portion will have to be removed for pony well being, but do not fret as sparkles, painted hooves, stickers, brushing, braiding and decorating a pony are all still available!!
Fun Fact:
Ponies grow EXTREMELY thick and fluffy winter coats to protect them from the cold (imagine a wooly mammoth!). Their winter coats are a double layer just like a water dog. This means that wetting a pony is very time consuming. To work shampoo into the double coat takes a lot of time, ensuring all soap residue is rinsed away takes even longer, and the most time consuming part is drying a pony. It takes a long time to thoroughly dry the double coat all the while ensuring the pony does not catch a draft.
