Because of the success of our first Walk This Way: Building the Walk session, we're excited to be offering it again!

This 4-week Skill Builders course is designed to help you and your dog develop loose leash walking skills using positive reinforcement and practical, real-world training. You'll work through the steps needed to build calm, confident leash manners while practicing around everyday distractions.

Training takes place both inside The Dog Gym and outdoors on sidewalks and nearby areas, giving you the opportunity to apply your skills in realistic situations. (As part of the course is held outdoors, class dates may be adjusted if needed due to weather.)

🕕 Time: 6:00 PM
📅 Length: 4 weeks
💲 Cost: $105 + HST

🐾Builders Level 1 is starting soon at The Dog Gym! 🐾

Ready to build a strong foundation with your dog? Join us for our Builders Level 1 course beginning Thursday, August 13th at 7:00 PM!

Over 8 weeks, you'll learn the fundamentals of dog training while strengthening your relationship with your canine companion. Using positive reinforcement and shaping techniques, we focus on helping you understand how your dog learns and thinks. Through fun games and practical exercises, you'll gain the skills to communicate effectively with your dog and set them up for success.

During this course, you'll work on:
🐶 Loose leash walking
🐶 Sit, down, and other foundation positions
🐶 Reliable recalls
🐶 Focus and engagement
🐶 Everyday manners
🐶 Building confidence and teamwork

Whether you have a young dog or an older dog that's ready to learn, Builders Level 1 is designed to create a solid training foundation that you can continue to build on long after the course ends.

The Skill Builders- 4 Wk Series are just that- 4 week long courses that focus on specific, core skills. During these classes we will work on the individual topic and help teams work through the steps to perfect their skills.

We are currently registering for Walk this Way: Building the Walk with Angele. This course will help develop good leash manners using real world scenarios with various distractions. The course will be taught partially in the Gym and partially outside and on the sidewalks to help gain experience with typical distractions you may encounter.

These courses will have a limit on teams so register soon to avoid disappointment! As classes are held partially outside- dates may change due to weather factors.

Class will start Wednesday June 24th 2026. Spaces are limited for this course to ensure everyone is successful!

✨Excited to say CAMP IS FULL! ✨

Thank you so much for the ongoing support, we are so excited to have our junior handlers back in the Gym for another fun filled week.

All registered participants have been emailed. Please check your spam folder if you have sent in a form and have not received a follow up email.

Kidz Dayz Junior Handlers Camp is back for 1 week only this July!

Has your child ever wanted to learn everything there is about dogs? What makes them tick, how to train them, and the best way to care for them? If so, look no further! If your child is between the ages of 8 and 14, this camp is made for them. They will learn everything they need to know about the different breeds, dog sports, anatomy, and how to train a variety of fun different tricks with much much more! 🐶

Your child will get assigned a dog at the beginning of the week. They will work alongside them to teaching tricks and will get to show them off at the end of the week. We will have daily guest presentations from breeders, dog trainers, animal medical professionals and many other experts in the field. The days will be filled with a variety of dog-related games, crafts, and educational interactive lessons, all coordinated by our trainer Angele. 🐕🐾
