Dolly Parton is a 10 week old Mini Piebald Silky Wire Dachshund looking for her furever home due to a turn of events no fault of her own! 🥺 She was supposed to be an 🇺🇸 doggie and go back to her mama’s breeder but the border customs officer felt differently…. 🤨 so turns out she was meant to be a 🇨🇦 dog and doesn’t have dual citizenship like her MUM! 🤣 Dolly is health checked ✅ and healthy girl! 👩‍⚕️ She has her first set of 💉 She is grass mat trained 💩 and sleeps through the night in her crate 😴 with door open. Dachshunds were bred to hunt…and bark! They bark after they catch their pray down a hole so their owner can find them. It’s instinctual. But since they aren’t hunting badgers 🦡 in our homes, and just being lazy couch dogs in most cases, the trait can be less desirable every time the wind blows 🌬️ or a car door shuts! 🚗 We find the feather duster to be a great tool to let them know the barking can STOP….pointed at them with the command “thank you” lets them know everyone is safe and we appreciate the ferocity (but that’s enough!) and the duster is less threatening than the fly swatter. Lol
