Blacky is looking for her perfect retirement home after being lovingly surrendered due to a lifestyle change. At nine years young, she still has plenty of playful sass and cuddles to give - but she’s also ready to settle into a quieter, comfy life with her special someone.

When Blacky first came into our care, she took about a week to decompress. She needed that time to feel safe, and once she did, her big personality came out! She's been recently showing us her “aggressive cuddles” where she’ll charge at you head first just to shove her face into your hands for affection. It’s the cutest!

Blacky previously lived with another cat and did well, so a feline roommate could be a good fit. She hasn’t been around dogs, and we think older children or a calm household would be best for her comfort. An adopter who’s familiar with cat behavior would be ideal, as Blacky can be a bit sassy until she knows you're her person.

Interested in meeting Blacky? Apply today at tbdhs.ca/adoption, visit us at 1535 Rosslyn Road or contact our team directly at (807) 475-8803 for more information 🐾

Meet Alex ❤️

At ten years young, Alex is the definition of calm, quiet companionship. This senior sweetheart has a heart as soft as her fur and a gentle soul that will melt your stress away. She absolutely lives for snuggles and will happily roll onto her side (or all the way over!) just to show you how much she’s loving the attention.

Alex is the perfect cozy companion. Low maintenance, loving, and happiest simply being near her person. Whether you’re curled up with a book or working from home, she’ll be right there quietly keeping you company.

She has lived with another cat before, though it wasn’t exactly a love story. She’d likely prefer being your one and only. Alex hasn’t been tested with dogs so a dog free home might be best. Older children would suit her quiet nature well.

Because Alex is so special, her adoption fees are only $50.

Are you ready to let this loving little lady roll right into your heart? Apply today at tbdhs.ca/adoption, visit us at 1535 Rosslyn Road or contact our team directly at (807) 475-8803 for more information 🐾

Have you ever thought to yourself, “jeez, my life is a bit boring..I could use a little spice..” …well, you’re in luck! 😉

Meet Mayhem! This eccentric one year old certainly lives up to his name (but we love him for it!)

Mayhem directed, produced, and starred in his own adoption video because waiting quietly wasn’t really his vibe.

He’s a solo act which means no other kitties would be best. He hasn’t been around dogs, and older (or no) children are recommended.

Mayhem is looking for a cat-savvy forever home where he can run his little empire in peace. He’s active, hilarious, and keeps life very interesting.

Interested in meeting Mayhem? Apply today at tbdhs.ca/adoption, visit us at 1535 Rosslyn Road or contact (807) 475-8803 for more information 🐾

Meet Greyce ❤

Greyce is a beautiful six-year-old who is ready to find her forever home. She can be a little shy at first, but with a slow and gentle approach, she quickly shows her sweet and friendly side.Greyce was surrendered due to litter box habits and allergies in her previous home. Since arriving at the shelter, she has had no issues as long as she remains on her urinary prescription food which her new family will need to continue.

This lovely girl would thrive in a calm and quiet environment where she can feel safe and comfortable. She has previously lived with another cat and did well, though she has not been around dogs. Because she can be sensitive, we do not recommend a home with young children.

Greyce has so much love to give, and she’s looking for a patient and understanding family who will give her the gentle space she needs to blossom. If you’ve been searching for a sweet companion to share your heart and home with, Greyce may be the one for you.

Apply today at tbdhs.ca/adoption or contact our team at (807) 475-8803 for more information 🐾

Thunder and Lighting are two big hearted (and slightly rotund!) seniors ready to find a forever home together. At eight years old, these bonded brothers have spent their lives side by side and they’re hoping their next chapter includes a cozy home with plenty of catnip 😉

Thunder, the black coated sweetheart, is a quiet, gentle soul who prefers calm cuddles and cozy naps. His brother Lighting, a confident tabby with a big personality (and an even bigger belly), tends to take the lead. Lighting can sometimes be a bit of a bossy boots with Thunder, but despite their occasional sibling squabbles they’re deeply bonded and love snuggling up when the day winds down.

These boys are large and in charge. While they definitely need to shed a few pounds, they’re more than happy to take that journey with the right adopter. They have been noted to live with both cats and a dog, and should also likely to be fine with respectful children who understand their need for space and gentle handling.

Thunder and Lighting are looking for a home where they can stretch their legs, enjoy a little sunbeam snoozing, and get the love they’ve always deserved.

Because they are so special, their adoption fee is $50 for the pair.

If you’ve got room in your heart and on your couch for two lovable loafs, apply at tbdhs.ca/adoption, contact (807) 475-8803 or come meet Thunder and Lighting today ❤️

Meet Aleu ❤

Aleu is a five-month-old shy pup who is just beginning to discover the world. She came into care with little socialization so new people and experiences can feel a bit overwhelming right now.

Despite her timid nature, she’s curious and making progress every day with gentle encouragement. She loves the company of other dogs, though she’s still learning boundaries and would benefit from a calm, confident dog sibling to help guide her.

We are looking for a foster-to-adopt home that can offer patience, structure, and lots of love while she continues to build confidence. A quiet environment and a commitment to positive reinforcement will help her thrive. Foster-to-adopt allows her the time to adjust and gives you the chance to bond before finalizing adoption. With consistency and care, this sweet girl will blossom into a devoted and affectionate companion.

Apply today to meet Aleu at tbdhs.ca/adoption or contact our shelter direct at (807) 475-8803 for more information 🐾
